We just signed our final contract and in scared that I've missed something important!

Missing something is not the end of the world. There is still post contract variations!
I am would be more concerned with re reading the contract. Just last week I detected 2.5k error on doors.
That's seven weeks after contract signing.

Ouch oh no. Yeah that's my biggest worry. It seems like they give different prices to different people so I'm worried I'm being overcharged something.

You don't have to worry about being overcharged for something it's guaranteed that it will happen with a volume builder that's how they make money out of the build. The ONLY way to avoid this is to pick everything standard and you loose anyway.
I know some people have been charged less for the same thing I have and some people have been charged more than me for others. It's like M is run by a toddler...

Thanks. At some point I'll get round to updating. I am not familiar with the other two but we made a few changes to our vantage so now we have heaps of storage.

Hey Emmyawards, not sure what happened to my last post, I hope you don't mind me asking, at what point did M stop letting you make floorpan changes? can you still make changes with the CSC prior to tender?

I wont mind having anyone hate on me for making this much $$$ count. After all this will one of the most important decisions we make. Keep up the good work!
Long time and no posting. Site started on Thursday (day before Australia Day). They found an old septic tank under where our outdoor room is supposed to be which means our site manager has to discuss with engineers how to proceed. I can see $$$ going up before my eyes

Not sure how you would negotiate fixed site costs. Maybe if you have new land. Ours is a knockdown rebuild so don’t think they would have let us.

Damn. We are a new build and our builder offers fixed site costs. Hopefully it doesn’t cost too much
