We have just been told by our builder that the range hood model we selected/upgraded to during selections has been discontinued. The price for the replacement model is dearer than what we paid, and the builder is asking if we would either like a credit back for the variation amount or to swap it with a range hood of similar value. They've written that appliances being discontinued is out of their control - I just want to know if this is actually the case? We are fine to consider swapping it out, but will be devastated if we find out we didn't have to compromise.
