I just looked at the weather guide. It’s not looking great later in the week.
Hopefully it’s not much rain and they still go ahead.[/quote]
It bucketed down the afternoon after our slab was poured, I wouldn't be concerned about the rain.

I think that we know what the pink pipes are - downpipes Lol They definitely look like down pipes now. There still seems to be too many of them. The porch doesn’t seem to have been finished off yet. Assuming they will do it in the morning. Our neighbour just called to tell us he’d been talking to the guys working today and they told him pour tomorrow. With them being on site I'm assuming that they rectified any problems before the pour. The slab is going down fast. I'll pop back in a few hours to take more pictures. It's getting hot already. Oh I was just reading a thread yesterday, someone building a Simonds Express in "East" estate. I'll see if I can find it again. Re: KDR - SE Melb - Simonds Flinders - ON SITE FINALLY 232Nov 13, 2017 9:48 am Bri1234 Yeah already met online on East Estate - but his build is still to start in stage 2 - Stage 1 brick layers started as I Said and another Simonds home was probably having piers done today in Stage 2 at least looked like it - so yes 3 Simonds already. And I noticed 8homes don't have water taps from day one nor Power - Water they are drawing from a couple lots away and using generators - I hope the lot they were drawing water from belongs to 8homes follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: KDR - SE Melb - Simonds Flinders - ON SITE FINALLY 233Nov 13, 2017 9:51 am pEast Bri1234 Yeah already met online on East Estate - but his build is still to start in stage 2 - Stage 1 brick layers started as I Said and another Simonds home was probably having piers done today in Stage 2 at least looked like it - so yes 3 Simonds already. That's great that you can all chat. Oh I wonder if it's costing them to have the generators. We were told if our power pit wasn't in in time it would cost us extra to get power. But then our is a KDR. Hope the other block owners aren't getting charged for the water use. So fast. (o: Received our pre pour inspection report from our inspectors this afternoon. A comment about drainage near the alfresco. SS to maintain during build and us to maintain after build. More concerning was that the setbacks are off. Left by 10mm. Right by 20mm - not sure about this one because of the council. The front is fine but the rear is 120mm off. Report also stated there was no survey pegs. I thought there was. Anyway, SS was on site at the time so I'm assuming he knows about all this but I've emailed him the report anyway. Now you can see how the house will sit on the block and what yard you get around it. Time to plan out the landscaping I hope that the issues are sorted and the council doesn't get uptight with the variations. I sure that there is variations factored into the measurements being one way or the other. I know reading some to the tolerances that this is a consideration. Either way - you have a slab. Were you advised how long it would cure for? Re: KDR - SE Melb - Simonds Flinders - ON SITE FINALLY 238Nov 13, 2017 4:31 pm Bri1234 They are taking the form work off already. So fast. Were you advised how long it would cure for? LOL It's a good feeling Yeah it's a bit scary the amount of space but we knew we wouldn't have a huge amount. We've got roughly 2m on the road side, 2.4m at the back. 1m beside the garage and I think 3.6m on the neighbour side. We haven't decided what to do landscaping wise. We need some grass for the dogs but not a huge amount. We both hate mowing, lol Haven't been given an idea of slab cure time but frame is estimated to be complete 21/11 Re: KDR - SE Melb - Simonds Flinders - SLAB DOWN 240Nov 13, 2017 5:08 pm Bri1234 Rachael13 YOU HAVE BEEN SLABBED!
