I haven't checked your thread for a while - looks like heaps of progress since I last checked. I think I would be worried about those beautiful basins too. I hope your tiler is careful Yes ninnygray, I hope that the tiler is careful and the other trades that follow. How's your build going? are your plans out of council yet? Yes Henry. Council approved on 20/6 but now we have to wait for authority to commence construction which was supposed to take a couple of days but here we are still waiting. I am sick of thinking about it. I feel like we are going nowhere fast Re: Henry's Build on the Gold Coast 173Jul 04, 2017 9:20 pm Tribe7 Oh nice you got to meet the Taubmans Rep, it's really great to meet the people behind the scene. Even better she could tell you a bit about the paint too. Excellent about the door in really pleased your going such a bold stain colour . Tilers are moving at a great pace, are your bathroom ceiling square set or will they install the cornice once the tilers are finished? The colours go really nicely together. Still love your basins. Cheers Tribe. it was great to meet the paint rep. She thought the Black Japan was a great choice for the front door and did remind me that I would have to keep the maintenance up every 12 - 18 mths with the stain. Luckily the front door doesn't get any sun at all. Last build we had the cornice over the tiles but this time they are square set. We are looking forward to having them square set this time. The tilers have taken their time with the setting out which shows and those basins. Henry's Build on the Gold Coast 174Jul 04, 2017 9:22 pm aloenyx Tiling is looking great!! Thank you aloenyx . The tilers have done a fantastic job with the setting out of the tiles. Just waiting to see them finished and grouted. Henry's Build on the Gold Coast 175Jul 04, 2017 9:27 pm Bridgetwitch The tiling looks awesome Henry! I hope our painter will stain my front door dark too... the darkest we could choose at colours was Walnut - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Cheers BW. Just imagine if you met the painter on his first day with your dark stain can in your hand. Re: Henry's Build on the Gold Coast 176Jul 04, 2017 9:43 pm shellu Looks great Henry. You were lucky to catch the paint rep there! Thank you shellu. The paint rep reassured me that my choice of paint colour "Cotton Ball" for the ceiling, skirting and architrave was right. It will be a crisp white. Re: Henry's Build on the Gold Coast 177Jul 04, 2017 9:50 pm Waiting is painful and it doesn't help when your Council took their time with the approval. Chin up this week is going to fly by. Henry's Build on the Gold Coast 178Jul 04, 2017 9:56 pm Re: Henry's Build on the Gold Coast 180Jul 05, 2017 11:20 am Oh wow Henry!! I can't believe we have missed your build so far! I loveee your selections and I can't believe how quickly everything has been done. We loved the NuTrend display, and walked away wishing we'd seen them before signing our contract. They're standard inclusions are amazing!
