That is one nice smooth looking slab. Can eat cake off of it! thanks Rural! I just like cake hoping that it doesn't rain on Friday so I can have a beer on the slab with hubby! He works away & hasn't seen it yet Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 67Apr 24, 2017 8:04 pm So I have trained my son so well yesterday he asked if we could go back out and have a look at the block as I'm going for mum of the year of course I said yes Also heard that they have called council out to have a look at the pipe that's leaking! I told them that I don't want to have our water connected until the pipe has been fixed as I'm not paying for excess water! Let's hope it's all good 🤞 Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 68Apr 24, 2017 10:11 pm Hahhahahha your a shoe in for Mum of the year, you saw an opportunity and took it, my kind of lady . Oh cool it will be awesome to be able to show hubby on Friday. Good news they are getting that pipe seen to. Good news they are getting that pipe seen to. trying to get some brownie points with the kids I wrote an email after calling head off just asking what was happening as it looked like it was getting worse! Surprised how quickly they had registered for council to come out but glad it's getting looked at! Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 70Apr 25, 2017 8:53 am Bahahhahahhshha go the brownie points, mine got so sick of going to the house towards the end I had to bribe them with lemonade icy poles That's great they acted quickly to sort out the pipe, councils hate issues like that and will make sure it's seen to straight away. Your Logan council at Jimboomba hey, we are Scenic Rim council and the rates are hideous 🤦🏼♀️ Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 71Apr 25, 2017 9:07 am Tribe7 Bahahhahahhshha go the brownie points, mine got so sick of going to the house towards the end I had to bribe them with lemonade icy poles That's great they acted quickly to sort out the pipe, councils hate issues like that and will make sure it's seen to straight away. Your Logan council at Jimboomba hey, we are Scenic Rim council and the rates are hideous 🤦🏼♀️ I've just gone back through your new thread what estate have you bought in??? We're renting in Beaudesert at the moment(been here 5 years) & yes I would agree that the rates would be high mind you we just got our first lot for our block & it was $300... not too sure if that's good or not my oldest is a bit like there's nothing there we haven't seen he will be sick of it wayyy before the end of the build! First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 72Apr 25, 2017 12:29 pm We are over the dam at Hoya. I didn't even know it existed until we found land out here . Our rates on the coast were a hell of a lot cheaper than out here. Logan rates are supposed to be really good How old is your eldest? My big 3 are like that, I mention tile shop and they scatter . It's a shame they get sick of looking at the house it's so exciting Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 73Apr 25, 2017 4:39 pm Tribe7 We are over the dam at Hoya. We go out near Boonah a little bit when we take the motorbikes out! That is a bit of a jump from the coast though I have 2 boys my oldest turns 9 this year (yep attitude starting ) and my youngest is 7 this year! Really can't wait to get out onto the acreage so they can kick a ball, play cricket, basketball etc without having to worry about it going over a fence! Well.... hopefully not over the fence Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 74Apr 25, 2017 9:30 pm Hey fleabee, congrats on your slab.
