Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 363Jun 24, 2017 2:26 pm Tamara1975 It is great that they are doing that. Our lease is up at the end of August and they called the other day to ask when we will be vacating as they need to advertise 4 weeks in advance to let it out again. Our slab had literally just been poured and they want dates now! So annoying. That's just stupid, you guys are already in it so it would just make sense to let you stay until the house is done! Hopefully they come to their senses soon and stop annoying you for a date Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 364Jun 24, 2017 2:27 pm ruraldoc ×fleabee86 ruraldoc No no firm dates given... just an estimate. Looking about August?? which seems reasonable at this rate! Also our real estate and landlord are cruisy letting us do a periodic lease until we move. (They know we leaving... they ought to be sobbing coz we are such awesome tenants.. haha) August seems pretty good. Wish we had something apart from October lol I rang out realestate agent during the week her first words are you're not leaving us already That's awesome they are doing that for you! You only usually hear that they are wanting people out Yeah, it pays to be a good tenant... OMG just realised we need to try to get all settled in before our son's 6th birthday! (and have the climbing wall installed and maybe mark a mini soccer field!!) Hmm... 2nd of September... time to put the pressure on Dixon? Holy moly!!! Lol time to put the pressure on can't wait to see this climbing wall once it's done Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 365Jun 24, 2017 3:16 pm fleabee86 I'm going to call them today and see if I can get something in writing! A phone call shouldn't be the only thing they give when it comes to these situations. Write to them, better yet registered letter. I'm hoping they've put more than just silicon around it, as there's supposed to be a flexible rubber boot around it. Just drove past your place today, and if I had've know I could have taken a look for you. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld. Although hubby says no Dont worry, I'm already planning things I would do differently for next build Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 367Jun 24, 2017 7:38 pm bpratt fleabee86 I'm going to call them today and see if I can get something in writing! It will get put on but have to wait for that to happen Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 368Jun 24, 2017 7:47 pm Looking good fleabee. Great to see your tiles have arrived and the extra bench. I must say that I've seen missing down pipes before but never an extra one Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 369Jun 25, 2017 6:19 pm HENRY Looking good fleabee. Great to see your tiles have arrived and the extra bench. I must say that I've seen missing down pipes before but never an extra one Lmao we must be special Hoping the bench gets completed this week 🤞 Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 370Jun 28, 2017 3:15 pm Not a lot of progress happening here at the moment. We have had a length of guttering delivered and thinking that they are going to fix the down pipe situation with that? Apart from that the kitchen bench has been fixed. Apparently the tiles were supposed to start yesterday, however hubby has been there just before and nope nothing has started. Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 371Jun 28, 2017 3:17 pm Waiting is the worst, particularly when they say they will do something but don't Did the kitchen bench get fixed the way you wanted it? With regards to the join? Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 372Jun 28, 2017 3:57 pm fleabee86 Not a lot of progress happening here at the moment. Just hope that things are done properly and above standard. Great to hear the kitchen bench is fixed and it sounds like the down pipe is also going to be fixed. With regards to the join? The join is through the sink & from a distance I can't see it, however I haven't seen it up close just yet. I'm hoping it's all good though 🤞 Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 374Jun 28, 2017 4:18 pm HENRY fleabee86 Not a lot of progress happening here at the moment. I'm not liking this go slow part to be honest but I'd rather it be done properly first time instead of things having to be fixed later! I'm hoping they start very soon though 🤞 SS told us on Monday that we are roughly 4-6 weeks off so I'm hoping we can stick to that Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 375Jun 28, 2017 11:32 pm You're right to try to be patient, fleabee!
