Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 282Jun 08, 2017 7:38 am That is a real shame. They must really like your brick choice...! I don't think security fences would have stopped them if they were that keen... really the security fences in the cities are probably just to prevent kids from going on a dangerous work site... Yeah I don't think security fences would have made a difference! If they really wanted to do something than nothing would stop them! It's so beautiful and sunny in your place too . OMG what shockers for stealing your bricks, next time invite them in for a knuckle sandwich and a boot up the bum for good measure. Honestly so rude. Ohhhh enjoy your shopping trip to James Lane Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 289Jun 09, 2017 6:42 am Thanks Bank & Tribe Apparently 🤞 our garage door will go on today! I'm not too sure if it will as sometimes we get to the end of the day and it's pushed back, so here's hoping it does! With the amount of things that are getting stolen in the estate at the moment I'm hoping it does! But at the same time cause we won't be able to just go in anymore.... PMSL I should set up booby traps of a night time SURPRISE 🤣 Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 290Jun 09, 2017 1:24 pm Hehehe... booby traps!! that'll teach 'em. Love the progress! We got our plaster and cornices piled into our garage today, but can't catch up to you. Looking good It also looks like we have the same internal doors but you have more than us. We have 7 doors in total Hopefully your booby traps work and nothing goes missing from you build. Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 292Jun 09, 2017 6:26 pm PMSL I wish I was game enough to set booby traps my luck I'd be the one caught in them You'll be surprised how fast you'll catch up Rural! I'm hoping we stay at this pace 🤞 Thanks Henry we just went for the plane internal doors. Hubby liked the ones with lines through them but I didn't. I didn't realise until I looked back at that pic that our real front door was sitting closest to the wall! I only know cause it's now been put in First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 294Jun 09, 2017 8:55 pm It's not a nice feeling being locked out. Fleabee we are the same as you "locked out" and we have the plain internal doors. I wanted plain doors, plain skirts and architraves as I didn't want the hassle of the extra dusting and cleaning. Oh, I love your garage door and front door. What colour is your front door going to be? Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 295Jun 09, 2017 10:32 pm Great progress, it's good and bad being locked out, hope some trades forget to shut a window or 2 so you can still have a look, damn those brick theives Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 296Jun 10, 2017 8:17 am HENRY It's not a nice feeling being locked out. Oh, I love your garage door and front door. What colour is your front door going to be? I'm not going to be able to get in when I want to now Lol that's exactly why I didn't choose the "fancy" doors! I'd hate to be forever getting bloody dust out of them. Our front door will be stained Jarrah. We only had the choice of 2 & Jarrah was the darker one so that's what we chose. Although I have seen on other people's thread they are going the blackish colours! Wish I had of thought or even known about that before. But I must say hubby probably wouldn't of agreed on it. Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 297Jun 10, 2017 8:19 am Thanks em-n-craig Lol my sister is coming to have a look for the first time today so I'm hoping maybe we can find a window that has been shut properly 🤞 and that's hoping that there has been someone there since we were there late yesterday! Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 298Jun 10, 2017 9:51 pm Oh wow it is looking so amazing, I am loving seeing the progress! We are locked out as of last week, although I shouldn't whinge as only happened last week and everything is pretty much finished inside so we got to see it all as we left a window open and one time all windows were locked but the left the front door unlocked 😂 Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 300Jun 11, 2017 10:43 am Lol we were super lucky that the front door hadn't been locked so we got in However we have just been to the house and after all of the messages to our SS about the leak in the roof from the pipe of the bath tub, it still hasn't been fixed and now we have a puddle in our 4th bedroom right out to under our linen in the hallway to say I'm peed off would be a freaking understatement This will put us back on the progress that we were having Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 11 41636 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27712 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA?
