I laughed at your hate for mowing, Mr T just brought a brand new zero turn mower and he is pining to go mow our lawns .
I've got a wife who is the handyman.. err person. I am the dainty one who doesn't like his hands dirty, though I am coming around. Believe this, I did some whipper-snippering the other week to trim those nasty missed grass blades in the corners and edges of our current home. (I had previously let our landscaping friend do it for us... he even did edging!! which was so cool for our lawn!) That was kinda fun, but lots of hard work. Kudos to all the labourers out there. I definitely was not built for labouring... I would waste away!
I just don't like mowing. It is seriously worse than any other necessary chore I can think of. I enjoy dish-washing, vacuuming, laundry, sorting, cleaning, tidying, organising. Nope not mowing!
Actually.. to think of it, it's probably because we have to do it to fulfill our rental requirements. We were not responsible for the lawn in most of our other rentals in the past. But if it were ours, I'm sure I'd put more pride into our own lawn. It is also annoying because our current rental has lots of undulations in it and that has allowed parts of the lawn to really get weedy and mottled!
The house isn't in the best condition either, so I feel if the landlord doesn't take pride in his house and land, why should we do it!? (no need for debates about that on here please!
