I love steel frame houses, so jealous! We just get timber Re: First Home π Building with Dixon Homes 143May 12, 2017 8:29 pm HENRY You have "windows" and "doors" as well as roof sheeting? No roof sheeting yet hubby is calling our SS tomorrow to let him know that we are not impressed that we have timber doors sitting out in the rain that we have had! Hopefully they will replace them as I will not be happy if they swell! Re: First Home π Building with Dixon Homes 145May 12, 2017 9:01 pm Great pics Flea, doesn't matter it's dark it so good to see progress for you. Can't say I would be thrilled about my doors sitting out in the weather either. Hoping that hat is on tomorrow when you go for a look. Your toe all better now?? Hopefully they will replace them as I will not be happy if they swell! Sorry fleabee I thought you had roof sheets. Why have the doors delivered before the roof goes on? What a shame I hope the rain stays away so your roof sheets arrive and your roof is put on. Cheers Re: First Home π Building with Dixon Homes 148May 13, 2017 7:38 pm We had a guy out today putting battens for the roof up! Hoping that it'll get put up on Monday! Hubby is going to tell SS that if the laundry door is the one that is staying that it needs to be replaced once the roof is on as it's been out in the rain for 3 or so days.... would understand if it was wrapped in plastic but it's not. Hopefully it's just a temporary one and it'll be all good! I slipped outside last weekend and fell into Mr T's car , I then almost fell off my x trainer the other night but Mr T took the cake and stacked our 11 year olds bike, she came inside killing herself laughing that dad fell off the bike on the hill Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 153May 14, 2017 9:45 pm Hey fleabea86 We too are building with Dixon homes over in the Mundoolun estate. Everything has went great so far. Fingers crossed. We are doing handover this friday hopefully. Our SS is Tim, we did have John West for the first half of the build. Unfortunately we have had some delays because of tradies being behind after the flooding. I can't wait to be getting our keys Re: First Home π Building with Dixon Homes 157May 15, 2017 7:23 pm Well hubby went out to the block today & we have had our roof sheets delivered fingers crossed they don't get stolen π€£ We have also had our plumbing roughed in hoping that our roof goes on tomorrow yes I did say that the other day.... but it's got to go on some time soon Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I've messaged our SS over this one βοΈ I think it's a little too much to the right.... he's going to have a look at it tomorrow for us! Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 158May 16, 2017 4:07 pm Hey Fleabee, It all happened quite fast for us, started in mid Jan and is ready for handover now. So far so good. Everything looks great inside too. We were really impressed with the quality of the work. Didn't really know what to expect but everything exceeded any expectations that we had. My step Father is a builder he has had a look a few times and we impressed with the structure and quality too ( And that says a lot since he is a perfectionist!). Hopefully we get the keys this Friday, depending on the valuator from the bank getting his/her report done by this Friday. Thank you very much are you going to be in before your practical completion date? We've been given the 19th October but hoping it's sooner than that It's really nice hearing positive feedback from someone else in the area! Our friends built through Dixon in the same estate & they built over Christmas, the total build was 18 weeks! We have a smaller house than what they had built so I'm hoping we can get in before the PC date Re: First Home π Building with Dixon Homes 160May 16, 2017 8:29 pm WE HAVE A ROOF Couldn't get any pics as it's dark of an afternoon when I go out now 11 41670 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27734 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks β€οΈ 0 8948 |
