Not sure if they are still offered or if they have something new now; but we thought these 6 were good promotions, so added them all Building the Henley Electra - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87341 Re: New Henley Electra build in Mernda/VIC 22Jul 06, 2017 9:13 pm So, I've completed Tender and know the approx. price. Electrical appointment is next week and contract is 2 weeks after. The site costs were high - coming to about $30K, which has bummed out us totally. Though the presenter was able to justify the costs (which includes a provision for rock removal @ 12K), that was the only part we were unhappy about. Needless to say, this has resulted in scaling back the changes we will propose during Electrical to keep the final costs down. Let's see how the next few weeks go. We've also selected the flooring; it's going to be Vinyl - Arctic Oak and carpet is Elements - Nickel colour with 10mm underlay. We are also planning to have vinyl flooring to ground floor except study and Theatre room. How much is it costing you? Re: New Henley Electra build in Mernda/VIC 25Jul 30, 2017 9:05 pm Thanks mate. We had a lot of trouble finding a price-point in Vinyl that we are happy with, had to look around a lot. We finally agreed for this selection at a cost of about 12K. It is for all of ground floor except study & theater (including under the stairs). Did they offer any discount or deduction at the final price? Thanks and have a nice weekend! Re: New Henley Electra build in Mernda/VIC 27Aug 04, 2017 10:39 pm The total costs (including Electricals) was about 335K. No discounts nor deductions offered on the final price. And I believe that is excluding flooring since you have done that from outside.right? Re: New Henley Electra build in Mernda/VIC 29Aug 05, 2017 8:56 pm Yes, we are doing flooring separately. It's still more than what we expected, the main culprit that increased the price were the site costs. So I would be posting photos and our progress once construction starts. Hoping that the build process goes smoothly. Wooo construction is fun but I think it can be more stressful as it feels like it should be a smooth process but then you end of with so so so many delays!! lol Re: New Henley Electra build in Mernda/VIC 33Oct 12, 2017 9:48 pm Thanks I will upload the final drawings in the next couple of days; the ground work has started with piers supposed to go in this week. Hopefully the slab should be in by end of this month !! However, I've learnt that we always miss something so happy with how this has turned up overall. I've noticed that lighting also makes a difference when you view flooring. I visited the site last weekend and there seems to be some ground work done; hopefully slab pour will follow asap. But I see that they've already delivered the bricks; I think that bricks aren't needed for slab at all - so someone in Henley must have been very proactive and ordered bricks so early Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building the Henley Electra - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87341 Re: New Henley Electra build in Mernda/VIC 39Oct 18, 2017 12:31 pm Eskay Hi StephLee, I am doing flooring outside Henley (carpet call - but they supply flooring to Henley); are you also installing Vinyl? Ours is carpet call vinyl as well, it must just be the lighting, damn wishing I went with the Arctic Oak now it was just so grey and dull looking when we first saw it Good luck with the build, will be following along Re: New Henley Electra build in Mernda/VIC 40Oct 21, 2017 6:48 pm Yes, I am pretty sure that it is the lightning. My carpet call salesperson advised we can change to any other vinyl before installation if we wanted, so if you are still interested you can check with them on swapping. But blonde wood looks amazing too, so if you prefer that it should be as good to look at once installed. The slab date is now confirmed for next Wednesday; and I've engaged Darbecca for private inspection. Hope everything goes smoothly with the slab.
