Any rules re how long it can take to fix PC defects?

Hi,

My builder notified me 5 weeks ago that my build reached PC stage. A week later we had an inspection and the day after the inspection the builder got a list of defects from me. Since then I haven't been able to get any dates from them re when the defects will be fixed. It's been 4 weeks since the inspection which doesn't make me happy but what really gets me is that I can't get any dates from them. Can they go on like that forever? I haven't paid the final invoice so I don't understand where the delay is coming from. I'm building in Brisbane and have a standard HIA contract.
