We are also building in Belmond Estate - Stage 18. Land settles 1st June. We are building with Fairhaven. The process has bee really smooth so far. We did consider Metricon but they were extremely rude at display home and on the phone so we did not go ahead with them. Can you share some tips regarding permits with council and estate that we need to be mindful off? Which stage are you in? Thanks Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Started...then stopped again. 467May 10, 2018 4:50 pm Bronte19 blackcat20 I honestly don't know. But you will need to ring Casey to pay the compulsory infrastructure levy, they wont issue a permit without it. Check if your builder is doing the asset protection permit; we were told they were but they clearly havent so we're trying to sort that out and get back on track. Yes, I was told about the compulsory infrastructure fee of around $1,100 by my conveyancer. Do you live close to Belmond estate? We live 40kms away. Going each week once build start will be a hassle. Anyway, wishing you smooth build from here, good luck. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Started...then stopped again. 472May 11, 2018 8:53 am I've also been told our site supervisor is really good by others in our estate so that's a positive. Away this weekend but hopefully can go sticky beak Tuesday after work to see what's happening. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Started...then stopped again. 473May 11, 2018 9:37 am Good to hear! Agree! Though I don't think I'll start believing we're actually building a house till I get a chance to see whats happening. At the moment its all a bit theoretical to me. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Finally Started! 475May 12, 2018 11:40 am Had a good chat with our independent inspector yesterday to start lining things up. They were quite surprised with how bad our admin stage has been. Of course they need the slab supervisors details to organise an inspection and I don’t have them. Called yesterday but still waiting for a call back with the info we need. I did manage to get the site supervisors number though. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Finally Started! 477May 12, 2018 12:28 pm I heard there should be a sign in on Metricon where you can check all your progress and stuff. It’s something like my metricon.com viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Finally Started! 478May 12, 2018 1:09 pm The My Metricon total still shows us as Pre Construction, no one has updated it. We have the site supervisor details but not the supervisor for the slab pour. Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar.
