We are going to build Winchester 28 as well in North West area and we have signed our final contract with Metricon in August. We just got our title 2 weeks ago and submitted our planning permit application. Guess ours still a long way till we can build. We have been waiting the title since last November. So I can feel your excitement on the new house. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 142Nov 16, 2017 8:20 am Kimmykim Hi, have been following your progress. I don't mind to discuss here. 😉 Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 144Nov 16, 2017 9:09 am Kimmykim blackcat20 Awesome! Are you going to start a thread? I'd love to follow your build. Im hoping ours will start before the end of January. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 145Nov 16, 2017 9:11 am It was a long process for us as our land has some many issues that Metricon told us at one point of time that they might not able to build for us. We have started with Metricon since last December and it takes almost 9 months to finalised the contract. Our land is on a hilly slope at North East of Melbourne so site cost is higher than what we expected. And we are still waiting for the council to approve our planning permit. We are still not sure whether our final plans will be approved or there will be more amendments to be done. Luckily Metricon is very patient and helpful. I am glad we started with Metricon. We reckon it will be another 6 months before the start date. ☹ Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 147Nov 22, 2017 10:48 am Our loan application has gone in today, and we've heard all the construction fences are done from around our stage. Hoping it titles by the end of next week. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 150Nov 23, 2017 10:11 am bank blackcat20 And our loan is approved! Woo hoo! Congratulations! That was quick! Sure was. We've been using Loan Gallery so its been pretty painless from our end. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 152Nov 23, 2017 10:15 am Just hoping desperately that SOC comes through by the end of the week as our expected title date is next week and thats starting to look unlikely. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 153Nov 27, 2017 9:04 am Well no SOC last week. I'm told they are still waiting, and expect settlement in December We vistited the block yesterday and very happy to see all the construction fences are gone. Theyve also spread some soil out and the naturestrip is growing lots of weeds. Bummed the NBN pit in the footpath in front of our house is massively crooked. This is our block, from just left of the pipe to the stick on the right. 14 metres wide. That NBN pit is right where our front path will meet the footpath... Just need the darn thing to hurry up and title! Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 156Dec 02, 2017 7:55 pm aloenyx It takes awhile but your getting closer!! Good size block Our expected title date was two days ago....I'm getting impatient. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 158Dec 02, 2017 8:56 pm aloenyx Mine went over the original date by 10 months. I know but ours is ready, all services are finished and fences are gone. Theyre just waiting for council to sign off the SOC, that definitely wont take 10 months. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement ~ December 159Dec 08, 2017 2:33 pm Well after the developer assured me last week that settlement would occur this month, the official word is now January So disappointed, even though I knew it was unlikley now to happen by the end of the yar. With how busy M is, build wont start till Feb or even March. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Settlement now January :-( 160Dec 09, 2017 3:02 pm Got a phone all from the developer which has shed some light. Our stage (15) is signed off, but 14 has a sewer issue and council wont issue SOC out of sequence. So when 14 is fixed, theyll both go through together. They expect SOC before the end of the year, and submission to titles office first week of January. Just gotta keep an eye on the prize, the last 10 months has flown by and we'll be in our own home before we know it. Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar.
