If the peg goes missing at least you have a fall back to rely on. Otherwise you have to get the surveyor out again. Re the missed start date, you should call the NSW GM and ask for a refund of your 5% paid to date because they are in breach of their 20 days. PM me if you need his mobile . I saw last year that they will bring in site supervisors from QLD if they need to, so as to fill in any gaps. Once you do get your SM and CM allocates, if you are in NSW, You can run your own licence check on them to see if they are actually a licensed builder. I am hearing reports that on some cases the SM’s aren’t former trades or builders any more, just project managers. Just something to be aware of. This is basically against Consumer Law and similar to internet sites selling products to people when they don’t even have it in stock and can’t deliver on time. There's a permanent peg at the front too aside from the tall one you can see. But I do like the idea of marking the gutter. What is the refund for blackcat? I have seen a few other posts about refunds but not sure of the eligibility... We should have paid a reduced amount due to land price and being first home owners. But our conveyancer forgot to put the forms in, so we paid more than double what we should have. Took a lot of convincing to get them to apply for the refund and it has finally been approved. Oh that is great news that it finally came through - seems like everything involved with building is a hard slog! Bummer, we are not first home buyers so probably won't be eligible for any discount/refund Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Expected site start May 9 447May 08, 2018 2:43 pm Here's hoping we start tomorrow as scheduled. More money for variation upgrades for the build. Ha definitely not. Our budget/loan was based on paying the correct (lower) amount of stamp duty, so this money is already spent. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Expected site start May 9 459May 10, 2018 12:47 pm You honestly couldnt write about this. I know construction kicked off yesterday because I just received a notice to comply from the council. M failed to apply for the asset protection permit! So everything has to stop till that is sorted They were also meant to hand us to a construction manager but didnt, so we've had no contact from the people that should have been in charge. Now waiting for a call back but feeling ridiculously stressed that they cant seem to do anything right.
