The tap grew into a dunny Love your sense of humour. Thinking I just need a portable shower and I could move in already. @Madora Dreamer Re: New build with Redink Madora Bay 86Jul 28, 2017 10:40 am Hi Madora! A tap and now a toilet.. awesome! Thoroughly enjoying reading your thread. Can't wait to see how the rest unfolds for you. So exciting for you! We are looking to build with Redink also. We have found land and have it on hold. We are organising finance now. I have a MILLION questions lol. Will be following your build very closely. Again, so exciting for you! Can't wait to see how the rest unfolds for you. So exciting for you! We are looking to build with Redink also. We have found land and have it on hold. We are organising finance now. I have a MILLION questions lol. Will be following your build very closely. Again, so exciting for you! Ask away, not sure I will be able to answer them though. My experience has been very good so far, all the emails are answered straight away. The longest I waited was 24 hours. They have done everything they said they would and in a timely manner. Do you have a thread yet? Will follow yours too. @Madora Dreamer Re: New build with Redink Madora Bay 88Jul 29, 2017 1:28 am Thanks for the reply Wow, they sound like they've really been on the ball. We are currently dealing with Eleanor, as she's trying to help us design a house plan that will fit into the block we have in mind. She has been nothing less than fantastic! We are looking at a home with the "choice inclusions". I was hoping to be a bit ** and finding out early a list of the suppliers for taps sinks, baths, flooring etc. I umm and ahh a lot with decision making so I'd rather look now rather than later and then end up doing the dreaded regret mode. We don't currently have a thread because I wasn't sure what to write lol. I think we shall have to have a good think about what to write. How is your block looking? I would be absolutely crazy with excitement being at the stage you're at lol. Re: New build with Redink Madora Bay 89Jul 29, 2017 1:50 am Excited does not describe how I feel. I arrived in perth 20 years ago, single with nothing but two very young children. I have worked so hard and sacrificed a great deal to be able to do this and it is an incredibly emotional journey. Every time I go to the block I am completely overwhelmed that I have achieved this on my own. I decided I would upgrade to get exactly what I wanted and that's what I have done. the house is designed to take up as much of the block as possible as I hate gardening! It's big enough for a spa and that's about it. Inside I upgraded the kitchen, tiles and the house will be fully smart wired. I will never need to go to the movies again! I cannot wait to see it finished! I am not a very patient person so these last few months have been difficult for me but here I am almost slabbed! @Madora Dreamer Re: New build with Redink Madora Bay 90Jul 29, 2017 2:08 am Wow.. that's amazing! Congratulations on getting to this point. When it's finally done and dusted you will be over the moon. I can't wait to see pics of how things are progressing. I'm so happy for you. We're reaching lock-up stage. We have an independent inspector but we believe that we don't need to waste money on it because our building construction is so far so good. Our inspector is Richard from Aztech. He gave us good price and good reports. Our sales consultant is David Headlam. He's very patient. I annoyed him a lot. . My client laison is Sirine. She's quite nice too. She's such a good helper. We got slab down on 18th April. We'll get lock-up next week. The process is very quick although in wet weather. We're very happy. Can't wait ......:-D Re: New build with Redink Madora Bay 97Jul 31, 2017 8:38 pm My consultant is Niklas and he has been fabulous with communication. Rachel is my client liaison. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't know the slab was going down as i would like to have watched but maybe there was a window of opportunity with all this bad weather. Happy it's done though. @Madora Dreamer Re: New build with Redink Madora Bay 98Aug 04, 2017 6:25 pm Well I got my slab report today. It looked perfect to me but thank god I am not the judge of these things. There are two issues, one is the recess for the back sliding doors is not there and the wet area set downs are not as deep as they should be. Not stressing though, will await a reply. @Madora Dreamer Re: New build with Redink Madora Bay 99Aug 04, 2017 6:33 pm That's the benefit of getting the inspector. They pick up things you would never have noticed. Which inspection company did you go with? Our build thread with Smart Homes for Living in Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86092 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
