We've gone down CDC Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 422Oct 12, 2017 2:45 pm Discovered that our stamped!plans for CDC did not include our landscape plan so I was unsure what we have to or must not do before OC. It just shows driveway and grass everywhere else. The CDC conditions says prior to OC owners must complete vehicle access. A CSO has told me there will be a proper list of items to do and provided by the certifier once building is complete. I got in touch with the certifier, my questions were can I add a pergola and concrete side paths before OC inspection (given that our basic landscape plan was not given to them). His response was do it after handover.... arh I didn't pick up on that word until after we hung up but I'm pretty sure he meant after OC ?? Confused Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 424Oct 22, 2017 8:00 pm Hey shazza, they charged me that ages ago!! July! Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 425Oct 22, 2017 8:12 pm And no... not really. Nothing has been done besides external metal trims for the 2 stacker doors. The trims for the kitchen are sitting on the bench waiting to be done. That's all. How sad Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 428Oct 24, 2017 1:36 pm Excellent one of the good thing about having flooring included in the package is you don't have to wait for flooring to finish before you move in. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81624 Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 429Oct 24, 2017 6:36 pm Thanks! And we have power connected now too! Not too much longer I think Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 431Oct 29, 2017 8:26 am Our flooring is complete, it's the correct items as selected. Wrong orders have been so common that I feel like we win the jackpot when they get the order right. There is no underlay in the rubbish pile so I don't know if the upgraded stuff was used. Our next items are meant to be appliances but splashback needs to be attended to first. I have the absolute shi7s with this company's attitude at the moment. I asked about other items needing to be corrected and the eave vents in case they were forgotten. SS basically tried to palm me off with a blatant disregard for the building agreement and variations. Will be escalating. Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 432Oct 29, 2017 8:48 am ehhc Our flooring is complete, it's the correct items as selected. I’m sorry you’re still Having to deal with their incompetence so near to completion their disregard for us as owners is just disgraceful. Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 433Oct 29, 2017 9:19 am :/ yeah it sucks and it's slow but I still feel like we moved along quicker than you guys have so I'm trying not to complain too much. To be fair burbank has been good at fixing their mistakes and misses even though the onus has been on us to justify why something isn't right( pulling out contract, drawings, variations, selection sheets), but this time I can't accept the poor attitude. It's just down right wrong to be mislead. It's the first time I feel like I cannot recommend the company. We decided to sign with sekisui after reviewing the last few years of H1 threads - seeing their progress, quality, the good relationships and flexibility with their SS to find a solution that works for both. Instead when something goes wrong, I'm told that I'm wrong and it's up to me to prove otherwise. Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 440Nov 16, 2017 6:50 pm The_Joneses How have you gone with escalating your issues? Any progress? Ohh I escalated, and it was acknowledge but no outcome has been advised for most items. Glass splashback is getting manufactured again. Other bits and pieces to be done but wasn't told what they were. Mainly splashback is holding back handover apparently. I doubt that very much... Things I asked about but have had no outcome as yet are: upgraded grate drains not installed, external vents (eave, rangehood cowl, IXL ducts), vanity taps wrong type, garage roller door bricks broken. As far as potential defects go, no idea, been locked out for ages. Hi All, Recently we have signed a contract with Burbank and we are not aware that they have just DORSET, SURREY, HAMPSHIRE, KENT, PILBARA and REDGUM bricks from PGH are… 0 3151 |
