The concretors I have spoken to only need 1-2 weeks notice. Same with most of the pergola/deck people - some want to go through council. But that can wait. We started to buy few things already.. most things holding out for the sales *plantation shutters, panel glides and s fold tracks from a online company called iseekblinds. We'll (the missus will) make s fold sheers using fabric we bought from Charles Parsons. The S fold tracks have arrived, good quality and delivery was prompt. Their website is very informative and DIY friendly. *ishtar roller blinds from spotlight 40% off sale. We cut the widths down already. *ikea Metod Marsta base cabinets and Mollekulla timber bench for laundry. The benchtop was in the bargain corner near checkout. It had some minor scratches on one end which we needed to cutoff anyway to reduce its length so it was perfect! $90 reduced from $220. There were more worktops in that bargain section if anyone is interested. Anyone know of a decently priced lighting store in Sydney besides beacon? Want to buy 6 x external lights. 4000k LED and approx 500-700lumens ea. I wish I'm handy woman to utilize some of their goods. At one time they had laminated floor boards from one of showcase floor for very very low price. Yes lights are expensive once you add up all for around the house. The last light in white...we have that in dark gray. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Good taste shazaw Do you have that up and down light installed now do you? Do they give enough light spread for a driveway? I'm worried up and down lights won't look good on our face brick wall. They look great on rendered walls, but I see that on some house these lights makes the uneven brick work standout. Installations! ...Not till I move in. At the moment all my lights are in boxes... and in the garage. Got these lights from Malaysia back in 2014. We loves the shape of lights and it was pretty new things then. The shopkeeper presented with photos of how these lights were used and we fell in love. Geez and I was upset about buying our kitchen light in June for the vaccaro mob only for them back track their agreement to install for us. Total work done for this week - 2 strips of timber. Found out rear garage door tracks will get a jamb installed. Guess painter won't be back until that jamb is ready. If so where are they... inside and straight through roof or outside and bend around eaves/gutter? Just noticed we don't have one... hope it's not a bad miss. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 The one you have under the roof, is that pipe internal inside the roof cavity or external along the wall? I haven't been inside roof cavity, but I did take a lot of photos just before plasterboard went on - there were no plumbing pipes inside walls at all. Just electrical, gas, water inlet pipes. Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 472Dec 02, 2017 2:13 pm Thanks for the pics shazaw. I'll have to ask during the walk through. I really don't think we have them. Hard work by the missus this one is for those 610mm skinny windows. Next one we'll try using just the S fold header tape without the extra curtain header tape. Keep up with the compliments so she can keep going . Hope they look ok once hung. For the 3 big sliding doors we'll mount tracks at ceiling - so we can't measure final height and sew those until we're in. The rest we're doing wall mount with 2400mm sheers & 10mm off the floor. They'll roughly be 2/3 up between architrave and ceiling.
Had an update from SS. Termite barrier was already done - it's not chemical reticulation, will have to wait for certificate to see what it is and if it will affect any landscaping levels. Missing linen shelves and clean up is being organized and splashback will be swapped over today. Feel like I should drop in and say hi but the glass company probably hates us Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 480Dec 08, 2017 8:51 am trimum That’s good it will be replaced. Will you get PCI before Christmas? Man... took something like 6 weeks to get them to agree to replace. And another 8 or so for them to get the order through. It better be a good job. PCI - the carrot keeps being dangled but I doubt it. It's just impossible at the rate things are going.
