That's so disappointing... and frustrating.

I just raise concerns about things missed or mistakes. I've been told before something to the effect of 'don't try and do my job.' Gotta pull out the list and update it with more lines through. If it's under 10 I'll post the list Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 447Nov 22, 2017 10:16 am You are almost finish! what's on your list? I don't think SS or CSO read our contracts thoroughly, hence too many little mistakes, my SS wasn't even aware of a sky light was already installed on the roof and tube is not connect as well as no hole on ceiling gyprock till he went up to check ceiling roof space. I do prefer to point out things that are missing or incorrect now rather than wait till pci meeting and have a long missing or defects list. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get the replacement... Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 449Nov 22, 2017 7:32 pm Shazza, I've been told the SS does not see the contract at all. Someone in the office makes the orders, the SS just schedules them in. So frustrating at the moment... in the 4 weeks since flooring was completed, the only work that appears to have been done is 1 piece of external timber added to entry door header (sides not done). Another piece of external timber added to garage roller door. 1 single lintel was painted basalt to match garage door, it was already painted white previously. And the external kitchen door trims installed. Thats as far as we can see from the outside. we've been balancing the fine line between p*ssing the SS off and raising concerns. Incorrect items have always been raised. Missing items we generally leave as we don't know their schedule down to the small details. The real reason why incorrect items haven't fixed yet is the SS has been ignoring our concerns. There's only so many weeks left in the year, going by this stupid progress rate, and that our bank has a deadline to request final payment by, I don't see us moving in this year. Only just came to that realisation today Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 450Nov 22, 2017 8:18 pm I really feels for you ehhc, very frustrating not knowing when tradies are going to come back to finished off jobs their left behind. I do hope you will get your keys soon. Our oven only has one chrome shelf. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get the replacement... :/ really? The picture of the oven looks like the model we'll get. I checked the manual, vague, doesn't specify number of included items. Just a passage about available accessories. Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 454Nov 23, 2017 10:26 am The manual doesn't specify anything, but all the ovens on the Smeg website specify they come with two shelves. Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 455Nov 24, 2017 7:56 am OMG You still have too many on your list. you are joining us for handover next year. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 456Nov 24, 2017 9:10 am yeah. sucks. We ordered a new couch to be delivered mid Dec. better ask them to hold to next year. SS is still optimistic with pre xmas handover - but I think its either B.S or he just has no idea of what's remaining. The glass splashback is holding the appliances fitout hostage, and therefore the handover presentation as well. Surprise surprise no date confirmed for splashback installation. If that item is major prerequisite, wouldn't you press supplier to commit?? Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 457Nov 29, 2017 5:19 pm The timber pieces in the following pics are what were done 2 weeks ago and they're still exactly like that today. The rear garage door tracks are a real concern of ours, there is no clearance at the top to make the guide tracks plumb and secured against the bricks. They were suppose to be looked at and fixed but not sure what they've decided to do. Are they just going to leave bricks just like that or paint it to brick colour? Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 459Nov 29, 2017 9:46 pm Yeah they should use the flat bar lintels that go all the way to brick face, instead of this L shape type. Nah I don't think they will paint the bricks. Painters would of done it when they painted the lintels if they were going to. I don't mind them that much - at least the brickie filled all the holes up. Re: Sekisui | Burbank - Cedarwood1828 460Nov 30, 2017 3:09 pm Got a SS update today. Glass splashback install expected by end of next week. SS will inspect on the following Mon (11th) and make judgement call on walkthrough and handover. What a tease.... surely its impossible for this year. Surely. Hi All, Recently we have signed a contract with Burbank and we are not aware that they have just DORSET, SURREY, HAMPSHIRE, KENT, PILBARA and REDGUM bricks from PGH are… 0 3128 |
