As for electrical, we are going to get clipsal to do bare minimum and get the sparky on site to do a whole bunch of stuff for cash and we supply the products. Things like powerpoints or lights in very hard to get places we are going to ask clipsal to do but other than that they are crazy over prices so we are trying to avoid giving them money if needed. As for the bath, $1250 :O as if there would even be a cost to change it?! I would think it's less materials to use and is actually easier than surrounded with the only hard part being the changed plumbing for the tap. I haven't started our build thread yet, going to place our $5000 deposit on land tomorrow and sign contracts and we already have a $2,000 holding deposit with coral. Once we get conditional approval as I'm trying not to get too excited in case we get knocked back but the broker we used is super confident we will get approved . Do you mind if I ask what size land and how much your paying? Just be careful with your loan, I double checked everything and we are now ending up paying an extra 7k towards our loan because the broker missed something with our split build and land loan Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 43Jun 16, 2017 4:45 pm Sure, I'm happy to share we are getting 400sqm and it's costing 260k. Probably more expensive of the development BUT its up high in the hills and overlooks the estate . Love riverstone crossing by the way what did you guys pay for your land and how big did you get . Our broker has been quite good so far and the loan is definitely construction, $300 for the first draw down and then free draw downs after that. We went with Suncorp, who did you guys settle with? We definitely fell in love with Riverstone! we paid $270,880 for 489sqm so we have a bit more yard for our two big dogs! Would of loved to go bigger but we will save that for the next house We are going with CUA! $600 application fee but no annual fees, free redraws and 3.84% fixed for 2 years and interest free on the build for the first year which suits us so we know what our repayments are Our broker was amazing until the end - we are a week away from final approval and going unconditional on our land. That's amazing, nice size block! Only thing we worried about with RC was the weekly fee's :O. But the estate is beautiful and the added 24/7 security and maintenance makes it worth it . Damn, that's an awesome deal we are going in at 3.88% and interest only during the build. We had to go suncorp as we haven't been in our jobs for long at all as we just relocated from Sydney to the Gold coast (Best decision I've made in a while). Got any photos to share of your block, would love to see! We don't have any photos yet because we haven't been able to access it but il put some up when we can ☺ You should start your thread soon! Ditto with pretty much you and Caydenn have said. Hope you don't lose your clawfoot or freestanding! It will look awesome and is worth the investment in terms of resale value! (As you might decide to build a second house?) Haha. How did you end up with a 7k$ in extra fees? Can't wait to see photos and updates of your build! The 7k has to do with going for seperate loans and making up the 10% for each loan as we have paid more than 10% for the build loan including FHOG. I don't 100% understand it to be honest but it super sucks Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 50Jun 18, 2017 8:12 pm Ah ok! I see what happened now. That's a shame you ended up having to put down a bigger deposit but it does mean you have less mortgage in the end. This is our colour scheme for the front: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Electrical & colours is booked for July 10th! Hoping Coral doesn't take to long to process these selections because our land should be registering 1-2 weeks after the 10th, all going well. We dropped into the Coral showroom on the weekend to take a look and I took some photo because I know when I was first looking at building I wanted to see all of this stuff so hopefully it helps someone (they wouldn't give out pricing). CORAL MY CHOICE SHOWROOM Ceasarstone The first column (or any that say standard A) are the included selections. The only white they have is Ice Snow which is not quite as white as we want so we may pay to upgrade to Snow which is a deluxe colour.. estimating this to cost about $500 for the kitchen area only. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Carpet This is the "In The Loop" carpet range that is standard for Coral now.. not going to lie, it is pretty horrible to look at and touch. We will go with one of the darker greys as we have added vinyl / laminate to the master bedroom anyway and I am not paying to upgrade carpet I will never use. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Appliances We upgraded to the 90cm stove top and 90cm under-mount range hood. These will be our oven and stove. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Flooring We have laminate in our contract however are planning to upgrade to vinyl at colour appointment. Our sales person always said vinyl was the same price if not cheaper however at the showroom she said it was an upgrade.. not happy about that. These are the colours we are trying to choose between and CAN NOT DECIDE! Thoughts? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Sink I didn't get a photo of the included sink but it is horrible and we don't want a draining bit. She said this sink was a small upgrade cost which we will opt for if we don't have budget for the undermount sink also below.. (I think my partner broke that white tap because we could not get it to go back up after playing with it - says something about the quality ) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ :x]:x] Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Showerheads We have gone with the Organic bathroom option so the second from the left will be our shower head - going to ask how much the one is on the far left with the rainfall top and the removable head at colours. The one at he show room is around $1000 and on the day of our colours appointment we decided we couldn't afford it. The following day we got an email from our colour lady saying they had a different one for only $200 extra. It is called the Posh Solus freestanding bath. We blew our budget big time at colours and a lot of stuff had to go which included the bath I still have the regular one though.
