Our frames were due to go up yesterday too Yay! So exciting, I am so impatient are you in week 4 too? We started on Jan 16 im impatient too - but i feel like we are moving quite quickly! Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Start Date - 21 December 201 282Feb 06, 2018 8:38 pm WEEK 5: We have frames!!! It felt so good walking through our house and seeing the layout in person. Everything felt bigger than we were expecting, yay. Met the carpenters on site to adjust and add some noggins with no problems this morning as well. The bad new is.. Our build is currently on hold until our neighbours retaining wall is completed, the ground is starting to fall away on that side and our SS has said it’s too unsafe for them to continue working.. fingers crossed they get it done tomorrow. I also noticed a couple of issues with our cabinetry over the weekend.. 1. We extended our island bench to be 1000mm wide with 30mm overhang however they somehow stuffed up and it is still 900mm wise but will 20cm overhang? 🤦🏼♀️ 2. The recess in the back of our overhead cabinetry for the led strip is only going from either side of the range hood when it is suppose to be full length.. 3. We upgraded to 40mm edging caesarstone on the island bench however they have only added it (on the plans at least) to the long sides, the short ends show 20mm and it looks horrible! Our SS has followed up with the trades to make sure it is sorted before install so fingers crossed that’s all good. The amount of times I have been over the plans I can’t believe I missed these... I’m so excited for you guys! Can’t wait to see it all come together I hope those little errors get sorted out soon, do keep us posted, that stone error is super annoying and it’s something you wouldn’t think to double check . We are on the same boat with the damn led strip as they entered ours in either side of the range hood too. We are hoping to hear back in a few days if we are able to have it run the entire way, as we are going for the no show range hood ours will look even more silly if it’s a strip either side of :/ Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Start Date - 21 December 201 284Feb 06, 2018 9:11 pm Steph?! So frustrating.. Our storm water pipe is still not fixed but SS called earlier to say he will carry on with build and sort it over the next few weeks so we are getting gutter / fascia mid-week and hopefully the roof to follow quickly. I'm over it, thought by week 7 we would be so much further ahead... Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 7: Gutters, Fascia, Roo 291Feb 19, 2018 4:07 pm I’m so disappointed for you! Waiting for something to happen is so hard, but hopefully you will make some good progress this week. - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 7: Gutters, Fascia, Roo 292Feb 20, 2018 10:31 am Hope it all starts to speed up this week for you Steph Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 7: Gutters, Fascia, Roo 293Feb 20, 2018 3:27 pm [quote="Caydenn"]Hope it all starts to speed up this week for you Steph /quote] Nope! Just heard our roof won’t happen until next week, windows won’t be until the 1st of March (Wtf?) and electrical rough in not until the 6th of March... that’s another 2 weeks of basically nothing! Everyone else got slab, frames, wrapped, windows etc in under 2 weeks... will have taken us 9! So much for Coral being fast builds 🤦🏼♀️ Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 7: Gutters, Fascia, Roo 295Feb 20, 2018 5:46 pm stephLee are your neighbours still any cause of delay? maybe coral have too many jobs going at the moment..? We only got our windows installed last week (half of them), so i know what slow feels like. I'm sure they will catch up. Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 7: Gutters, Fascia, Roo 296Feb 20, 2018 6:42 pm Dylandbrooke Oh no Steph, thats rubbish! I'd deff be peev'd So annoyed! But don’t want to annoy the SS and risk him delaying our build more he’s going to be annoyed when we tell him we are getting a private inspector though! Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 7: Gutters, Fascia, Roo 297Feb 20, 2018 6:44 pm gr8ly @stephLee are your neighbours still any cause of delay? maybe coral have too many jobs going at the moment..? Still waiting on the storm water pipe to be replaced however SS has said he is going to continue on with our build regardless.. but it’s like everything that was booked has been pushed back and he’s just fitting in trades when they are available how are you handling it! I’m so frustrated Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Week 7: Gutters, Fascia, Roo 298Feb 20, 2018 8:49 pm Well that just sux Steph... I would not be impressed at all.
