They didn't actually mention it again they just deleted it after saying 'I will have to apply to have it removed by head office'. Glad it was fine though because we really needed that extra money in the end! We had them in a previous build because hubby is a shift worker and I didn't want for the kids to have to tip toe around while he was sleeping. But boy did we get $hit from our friends for soundproofing our bedroom! I haven't even thought of it like that but bonus ☺ Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 30Jun 12, 2017 9:59 pm Congrats on the build, layout looks great. We went full height in the bathroom & ensuite and it worked out to be around $700. Be worth getting a price from coral as we asked tiler about going full height in toilets and it was going to be around $1k labour so left it and may do it later, did get tiles done on the wall behind the toilets up to 1200 high as saves having to rip out the toilets if we do it after handover. Also they tile almost to the ceiling then fit the cornice over them for a neater finish if that makes sense. We had it in our quote originally at $1300 but we just couldn't justify it as we have done sooo many changes and upgrades. Fingers crossed it will still look good if we don't do to ceiling tiling, we are planning on having white wall tiles anyway Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 32Jun 13, 2017 8:46 pm Found your thread love Manhattan can't wait to follow you will be up & built in no time Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 33Jun 13, 2017 8:47 pm BrownDog77 Found your thread love Manhattan can't wait to follow you will be up & built in no time I hope soooo! I wish time would hurry up Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 39Jun 16, 2017 3:40 pm Jumping on your build thread Steph Love the changes you have made, I actually may do some of them myself in our Noosa 23. Like us you are doing a bunch of stuff privately, I have a couple of questions about some of the upgrades or things you have elected to do yourself if you don't mind ? -Deleted driveway (-$8,000) - Any recommendations so far for a driveway as we are going private as well, builder cost is ridiculous!!! -Add door to media room (+$200) - Is this just a normal hinged door or something special for the media? -Added electrical / colour allowance (we will supply own downlights, fans & pendants) - Are you going to get the sparky to fit them onsite or do it completely after handover? -Change main flooring to laminate (we will change this to vinyl at colour appointment) - Is this done in the mychoice appointment? We are thinking of doing the exact same thing as laminate has some known downfalls -Add nogins for all TV's & dryer (+$75 each) - Did you just get one extra of these for each area you were thinking of mounting a TV? Also $75 is so steep for a extra beam of wood -_- -Free standing bath - Let me know what they say about this ad I would LOVE a free standing bath as opposed to an enclosed one. Love what you have done so far with the build and changes excited to see how you go! We may end up with similar handover dates Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 40Jun 16, 2017 3:56 pm Caydenn Jumping on your build thread Steph Love the changes you have made, I actually may do some of them myself in our Noosa 23. Love what you have done so far with the build and changes excited to see how you go! We may end up with similar handover dates Wooo! I am so glad I found someone on the Gold Coast with similiar dates, style and with Coral I will make sure I am following your build if I am not already.... ask many questions as you want! Driveway - Luckily my dad is doing this for us so I have not even looked into pricing because we will just pay for material. Media room door - That's just a normal door! Ridiculous price I think! Electrical allowance - We will supply LED downlights, fans and pendants and get Clipsal to install, just because it's easier, we could probably save money if we got our own sparky in after but we don't want the delay. I added a $5,000 allowance for our appointment still as I estimated pricing looking at other Coral builds. We will still be saving 1-2k by supplying our own downlights as they charge quite a bit for theirs. Flooring - At the moment our contract says laminate (I actually think I forgot to say we are doing laminate instead of carpet in the master which is about +$1000!) but our sales guy ensured us we can easily change this at colour appointment. We are going to drop into the showroom tomorrow and try get a sample to make sure it flows with our tiles. I believe you can choose from the lowest Carpet Call range. Nogins - OMG RIGHT! Free standing bath - I will keep you updated! I have estimated about +$1250 I hope its not much more than that or I will have a hard time convincing my partner it's worth it Hi Everyone I learned something this week that I thought would be worth sharing.
