But despite all this I think they would still meet all the building rules. I missed on one of those $590k thrive houae and land package and got Rawson. After my slab went down on Mar 7th, my frames work just started. When I called up, they said frames company delayed frames. I need to call up these guys every time and ask them about progress. I think the issues won't stop until the construction is complete and you perform your inspection. I had an email this week saying that they had different facade in plan and contract. I had to threaten with legal recourse and they explained and apologized and said the contract is correct and there was mistake in plan. Yes I did but it wasn't very helpful, they didn't had anything convincing to tell me either 😕😕😕😕 For those who are expecting to have their build completed by mid july, can your please advise me what is your build time frame and start date? Our is 33 weeks and our job onsite only started 2nd week of Jan, although we were told they will attempt to finish most of the excavation and on site preparation before the Christmas shutdown.. I would definitely go for Thrive if I am not going to live in that house forever, which is the case for most of the buyers Regards Andy Hi Andy, I think actually the price comes to be the same when you consider carefully, at least in ourcase as it wasn't in that price range ($59k) when we bought our property so I cannot say it was either that resonable or affordable, also if you wanted to build/change something later it is going to cost you more so it sort of defeats the purpose anyways and I think you are better off building with someoneelse for a little more, atleast you will have it your way and there is no headache for the future Personally I would have not built with them had I known these stuff before but I guess its too late now. Not that I am bad mouthing about them but just suggesting anyone who is considering to build with them to factor in these things. Had seen previous +ve comments from Homeone only. They were responsive without any fussy T&Cs for organizing or rescheduling . The report came on same day. The report did cover lot of points with some defects (misalignments, uneven flooring etc.). Don't know if someone else could have done better , may be. But to my experience, the report covers most aspects of construction. I will go with them for final one as well. And yes, even they use budget material, everything need to Aussie compliant, else they are in trouble. on a +ve note, i am getting timely updates from SS. Hi Pranav I am also one of the owner, my lot is 219 with Thrive homes, my son will go to school next year, as far i know leppinton public school is not so good. But once we move in we will decide. I don't mind sending my kid to St Anthony of Padua at Austral, But its only from K-2 at the moment. I am planning to visit the school and meet the principle soon. Also how is you build progressing? I'd noticed you mentioned your brickwork was completed in February, is it anywhere close to completion, I'm building with thrives too and the cladding installation on my property has just started so just wanted to get an idea of the time frame of the phases and when can I expect what to complete, if that make sense. Well no judgements but none of that really matters. When you are investing more than half a million dollars in the property it is worthwile to invest $500 to get an expert check whether the builder has done the right thing. My brickwork has been completed and I had chat with an inspector. He said 2 inspections are enough. One during lock up stage or prelining stage and another during handover. I am going to do both. There are more stages of inspection but those are not necessary unless you are investing millions. Regards Andy Thanks Andy, Glad you found it before it was too late, I am not sure what's happening at Thirve/Rawson. As you said issues won't stop, I still see construction progressing at snail pace. I am just concerned if they have comprised on construction quality. I am planning to have private inspection as Pranav suggested after my brickwork is done and another one at end of construction. Sorry to hear that your construction is moving so slowly, ours seems to be moving along quite well now. The slab was laid in April and we have a frame, a roof and windows. We weather held up our bricking last week, so hopefully we will have that started this week. Our builder has also been quite good at keeping us informed, he even sends us pictures some weeks. It makes for a nice change after all the issues we had with the Thrive Office staff that's for sure! However all of them are licensed so select what best suits you.
