Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 31, 2017 3:38 pm Hi everyone, We're currently researching on building our first home and was wondering whether its worth getting an independent soil test done on our land. We haven't decided on whether we're going with a volume or custom builder. Will either of these builders accept your own independent report if it's certified and insured - or will they still insist on getting their own before giving you a quote? Was hoping this might save a bit of time and money if we have to look at multiple builders. Thanks Re: Independent soil test 2Mar 31, 2017 3:40 pm pseidus Hi everyone, We're currently researching on building our first home and was wondering whether its worth getting an independent soil test done on our land.
