I'm hearing you on that one, I got told no to so many things I just gave up. It's hard to fit inside the project builder box if you want different things. Have hallmark told you that you do your colours appointment after contract?? Make sure you add all of your extras into your contract now, makes it easier than going back to the bank with a giant variation. Yes, colours after contract - so I just sent in a big list to be added and waiting for the electrical plan to mark-up! It's amazing how different builders vary... I can't have my bathroom vanity centred between the bath and shower (even though it's wall mounted?!?), can't have my bath spout at the end of the bath (even though it stretches along the entire wall!?), they won't allow me to have an allowance for colour selection, and they want to charge me $350 for translucent glass in the front door!!! Just little things... but it's soooo frustrating!!! Doesn't help that no one on the forum is still building with Hallmark either - no one to compare with!! The joys of building!!! How's everything going for you?! 😬 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 23Apr 06, 2017 1:03 am Couldn't agree more they all seem to have there own rules and restrictions. It's frustrating because it's your $$$. If there is a meter of space between the bath and vanity there shouldn't be a problem?? Maybe ask them to do a floor mounted bath spout then you can have it at the end ( they can be pricey though) I wonder why they won't allow you an allowance for colours? If your thorough now you should be fine. Yikes that glass is pricey. We are going the timber frame door with the whole centre pane clear glass (hope I don't live to regret that one) Have a look at Goldcoasthomes they have just finished at build with hallmark up at the estate near big skies (can't remember the name of it, I've followed along in the back ground and they had a good build) I'm wading through colours at the moment, final plans are with the drafter, trying to figure out pool pavers or tiles, how to get an amazing urchin pendant from America and hiding from the budget ![]() Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 24Apr 08, 2017 11:38 am Yay! Getting my bathroom vanity centred.... just a little thing, but I like balance! Marked up my electrical plan - just hope the sparky agrees to put my fans, pendants and down lights in for cash?! Will sign off on fixed price this week, then wait for contract.... think things are finally starting to progress! I love the look of having architraves/skirting white with contrasting wall colour - but do you paint your doors white too or have them the same colour as walls?!?! Ahhhh, so many decisions!!! ![]() - B ![]() A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 25Apr 08, 2017 12:16 pm We are having walls flooded gum colour and doors and skirting white Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 26Apr 08, 2017 12:49 pm ![]() We are having walls flooded gum colour and doors and skirting white Oh yes!!!! Monument is one of my favourite colours. We are having our letterbox in Monument. What colour are the bricks? 👍 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 36Apr 23, 2017 11:01 pm Hey Bridgetwitch. Land still not pegged, but there was work going on over the weekend at the estate, which was surprising! Just waiting for our build contract at this stage. Rego seems so far away still... on track for June/July (hopefully). We are thinking mid grey walls, dark wood floors, black fans/blinds/carpet, black and grey kitchen, monument or night sky externally with shale grey - I just hope it won't be too dark! The house we are renting atm is all beige (walls/floors/blinds/bricks/carpets/bathrooms)... I'm so sick of beige!!!! ![]() I'm just living vicariously through everyone else's builds - including yours! ![]() - B ![]() A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 40May 02, 2017 11:50 am So we can't delete the mirrors or the wall paint to the ensuite and bathroom - you would think this could just be done as it's leaving stuff out not adding things in!
