The colour studio is awesome.... set over two floors - externals downstairs, and everything else upstairs. Had our electrical apt. too - got led down lights everywhere I wanted them, so will just have to charm the sparky to install pendants and fans for us. Was only around $1500 for electrical, and $65 for tiles (upgraded grout)... waiting for total cost of other upgrades which should come in between $800 - $1500. Glad we didn't have too much budget blow out! Just hope I can get the kitchen splash back I want, and will fight the upgrade cost as I was never informed it would be an upgrade after asking our SC several times! On another note - the developer is jumping up and down about us not having financed approved, and then tells the valuation company they can't get access to the site for another two months! Seriously? Like WTF!!!! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 206Jun 17, 2017 5:35 pm Yay for colours. Very nice BW, your home is going to look awesome I love your Midnight Oak timber look flooring Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 207Jun 17, 2017 7:38 pm Woooo how exciting! You only spent $1500 on electrical? what was that on? How much did everything cost? I put $5,000 allowance in our contract Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 208Jun 18, 2017 2:23 am Just caught up on your thread after a week awol from H1. I like your bathroom tile choices... coz they are like ours! Two steps forward! Sorry to hear of your ongoing bank troubles!! I hope it works out.... Follow our first house build here! -> https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86484 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 209Jun 18, 2017 3:20 pm I feel your bank troubles. Ours was for our construction loan though... Started 15 Feb and settled 9 May it was so exhausting! But finally the wheels are rolling so hope it sorts out for you soon Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 210Jun 18, 2017 4:38 pm StephLee Woooo how exciting! You only spent $1500 on electrical? what was that on? How much did everything cost? I put $5,000 allowance in our contract I had already put e tea batten points, power points and aerials in the contract - so the variation was only for conversion to dimmable led downlights inside and out and an led fluro for the garage. Hallmark wouldn't let me just have an allowance?!?! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 211Jun 18, 2017 6:12 pm Loving the colours BW Man what is the developer doing I hope it all sorts itself out soon for you. We had troubles with our bank sending out our contracts with the wrong borrowing amount on it it was almost $8000 less than what we had applied for! lucky I read EVERYTHING so I had picked it up before anything was signed. Rang our mortgage broker straight away and they had to send out the paperwork again, with the right amount on it! Read everything before you sign it Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 212Jun 18, 2017 8:49 pm Thanks fleabee! The developer needs a good slap I think!! They better sort themselves out tomorrow. Lucky you picked up on that bank error. I will read everything very carefully, thanks for the tip! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 213Jun 19, 2017 10:22 am Love your colours! We have battalion in our kitchen too! I don't see many people using which surprises me and makes me worry I've done the wrong thing. So sorry to hear about your bank/broker/developer issues. We also had a nightmare with our bank, I thought for sure when I was reading that you were going to say that you are with westpac, but sounds like they're all as bad as one another. It's a horrible, horrible, place to be, just thinking about it makes me feel sick again. At the time I thought as soon this is all over I'm going to go to town on westpac so everyone hears of their incompetence but in the end we just moved on, it's too painful revisit. Short version, we were building for over a month without finance because they lost our signed loan docs! It was only supposed to take a couple of days to sort out but in the end we had 2 overdue invoices by the time they finally paid. We also found out at the 11th hour that they then had to wait for the FHOG to be approved . I'm sure in the end it will all work out. As Dawn said everybody loses if they don't sort themselves out so I'm sure they'll find a way. Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 215Jun 21, 2017 9:43 am Still waiting for our land valuation to be booked in - not at all happy with the developer. When we put our deposit on the block, we were told it would register in June, then at contract signing it became July.... now it's October! Still waiting to see if I can get my mirror splash back. Changed all down lights from cool to warm white - and changed our paint colour to Salinger... despite our colour consultants concerns! Bring on mid grey walls I say!!!! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 216Jun 21, 2017 6:01 pm Bridgetwitch Still waiting for our land valuation to be booked in - not at all happy with the developer. That's ridiculous... our was originally June and now July... if it goes into October I would be so annoyed, we are planning to be in our new house January next year Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 217Jun 21, 2017 6:18 pm Do you mean your land titles have moved to October?? That's horrible ;-; I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me, was suppose to be April, then June.. then July, then this big jump to December!! Hopefully it happens earlier than October for you. I thought I wanted cool white lights, but I've changed my mind to warm.. thankfully they installed warm I hope you can get your mirror sorted!! Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 218Jun 21, 2017 9:13 pm Thanks ladies! Yes, it majorly sucks waiting for the developer to finish the stage. They tried to tell me there was extensive damage due to Cyclone Debbie - but I can see the top of the estate from where we live now, so I know the weather wasn't dramatic!!! I was also told by my broker that our loan couldn't be approved until our FHOG application was successful, only to be told today that the bank won't submit it to the Office of State Revenue until AFTER our loan gets approved? Like seriously??!!!?!?! Also forgot to show you all what our broker sent us after my stress attack last week.... Our bank then sent in all our paperwork for the fhog. Got approved for fhog then went unconditional with our loan. Like you we have a useless developer and it kept getting pushed back. We are at 12months of push backs and delays.
