Its starting to look like a house Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 562Feb 09, 2018 8:27 pm More frames went up today, but I am concerned they have used particle board sheets instead of plywood in several places. Has anyone else had this happen at framing and does anyone know if it’s acceptable? All I have been able to find on the internet is advice that it should never be used as a structural element. Advice please! ☹️ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 563Feb 12, 2018 3:13 pm Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 564Feb 12, 2018 3:20 pm You’ve caught up to us! It’s so exciting walking through and see all of the room sizes framed up. I’m coming into the coast in the next couple of weeks to see first time builder, she just had her pool installed and it looks amazing. I’m defiantly doing a stalker drive past your block . Hope your coping with this heat too, I feel for you it must be so uncomfortable Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 566Feb 12, 2018 9:51 pm Tribe7 Looks awesome with your roof trusses up. Hope your coping with this heat too, I feel for you it must be so uncomfortable Thanks Tribe... stalk away - I do every day! lol I still can’t believe it is actually our house being built... I guess it’s something I honestly thought would never happen for us. Bit worrying that we don’t have the funds to pay for what we didn’t include in the mortgage (fences, driveway, flooring, window coverings, lights, fans, aircon etc. ) but we will find a way somehow. Might be living with concrete floors on lots of dirt for a while, but we will have the basics to build on and that’s a start! Life is unpredictable - the squirmy poppet in my belly confirms it! I’m grateful to be on this journey... and for aircon in this heat! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 567Feb 13, 2018 9:08 am Looks great! Did they fix up that blockage in the hallway you spotted? Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 568Feb 13, 2018 10:19 am Caydenn Looks great! Did they fix up that blockage in the hallway you spotted? Yeah they did... we have an open hallway now! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 569Feb 13, 2018 6:02 pm Met our SS on-site today - he seems very organised and approachable, which is great. I really felt for the carpenters crawling all over our roof trusses though - I was in the sun for no longer than 10 minutes and totally melted! We should get fascia and gutters this week - with possibly some of our roof! Next week will be roof, wrap and electrical/plumbing - then the following week is bricks. So exciting!!! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 571Feb 13, 2018 10:03 pm Yay! How exciting - Looks like they have planned a fair bit of work too. Smashing along. Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 572Feb 13, 2018 11:18 pm That seems like a great schedule. Mmmmm once the house is finished can you have the house revalued with the bank and possible lend against the equity in your home to pay for the items needed? The new babe might have a impact on your borrowing capacity though (mine sure as hell do) if that isn’t a option then maybe hit the spotlight sale for 50% off blinds, and save like a demon for the rest of the items, we always find a way to make it work Great progress update and your SS sounds great. Gee it would of been hard to watch the shirtless carpenters work on the roof I do miss seeing the Goldie builds 🤭 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 574Feb 15, 2018 6:30 pm We have fascia and gutters on, scaffolding up, anticon blanket and roof panels waiting to be installed. Only problem is our garage door is only 2100 high - never thought to make it any bigger - but we really should have.... ☹️ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 576Feb 15, 2018 10:23 pm Yeah same here, seems to be commonly missed, I've seen it mentioned in a few threads before! Oh well! Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 577Feb 17, 2018 5:36 pm Just went up to the house... we have half a roof and windows installed (all except for our cornerless stacker). We even have a front door!!! Can’t wait to see what happens next week! It was part of the upgrade package we got for free - it’s massive and should look even better when it’s stained. We will window tint the glass panels, but I love it already! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 580Feb 19, 2018 3:29 pm Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 8996 |
