Love the big stacker and the kitchen looks fantastic. Owhhh I’m so excited about the baby count down fingers crossed it all happens soon for you Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 683Mar 16, 2018 8:56 pm Thanks everyone! Didn’t hear back from our SS today about the WIP and bricks. The only thing I hate more than being told “no”, is to not be told anything! Will wander up tomorrow to see what happened today - bricks were supposed to be cleaned (as if cleaning is going to fix the horrible brickwork!). I just hope I’m not locked out. Baby has 6 days left before eviction, so I only have that long to deal with house stuff before my focus shifts... unless he comes early! 🤪 - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 684Mar 17, 2018 1:14 pm Still no word from our SS, and bricks have not been cleaned - I guess they are still deciding what to do. Every time I look at them I see another part that is just woeful! We have vanities installed.. and our skirting/architraves - I’m just not sure they are splayed like we chose at selections (they just look like standard beveled to me). Have asked the selection centre for a pic of their options, so will see. Some pics... Main Bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ensuite (missing the bulkhead above our vanity!?) If they had just taken a little bit of care with this one wall then all would have been sweet. I can live with the brickwork on the rest of the house - but not my front feature! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 687Mar 17, 2018 3:24 pm Bridgetwitch BrownDog77 Could you ask for them to pay to render the back, to save the anguish of them redoing and not doing a great job again According to our covenants we are supposed to have a mix of finishes on the front, so not even sure if rendering is an option. Just as an option if they say it's too hard to re brick all of it (though they should) I know we had to have a window moved after we were all bricked but it didn't take long for them to re brick it all and you can't see where it was done so it def can be done Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 688Mar 17, 2018 4:28 pm BrownDog77 Bridgetwitch BrownDog77 Could you ask for them to pay to render the back, to save the anguish of them redoing and not doing a great job again According to our covenants we are supposed to have a mix of finishes on the front, so not even sure if rendering is an option. I can’t see them offering to render the whole house.... and it’s not nearly as bad as the front, maybe because they are double height bricks?! The front is unacceptable though... and they have made things harder for themselves by just continuing on without rectifying the problem.... 🤨 - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 689Mar 23, 2018 3:17 pm Just a quick update.... escalated the brick issue to management - they have put a hideous “step” to the left of our stacker doors?! It looks hideous and will stop us from having nice decking in the alfresco flush with the internal floors - which is why we had them sunken into the slab! Hubby met with the tiler yesterday, so that has started. And internal painting is well underway. One of our back neighbours put up their fences too - so we have half of a back fence! I also gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in the early hours of Wednesday morning - so it’s been a busy week! The hideous step.... And with the bricks - you want it a little higher anyway, cause you can always build up a deck to make it level. You are much further along than us, and we started a long time before you. We've had so many SS changes. A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 698Mar 24, 2018 7:21 am Congratulations on the arrival of your bub Bridget! Busy week indeed! ☺ Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 699Mar 25, 2018 7:01 pm Visited the house.... and every visit I am saddened and angry at the quality of the build. They acid washed our bricks, and took the glaze off our grey double height bricks - so now they look pink! Some are worse than others. They have also put our down pipes in and they are hideous... they are fat then thin? Like wtf?!?! Has anyone ever seen downpipes like this? We were totally locked out, but looks like tiling and painting is well underway. Pics... Our downpipes.... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Pink bricks...
