How’s the baby count down?? I keep checking for an announcement Hi Tribe! Very relieved about the bricks - I’m too hormonal to deal with stress atm! I’m 37 weeks, so would be nice if this baby decides to make an appearance soon... the last weeks are always the hardest (as you would know!). 🤪 - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 626Mar 05, 2018 9:13 pm Thanks for the support everyone. I’m so happy our SS stepped up - he even apologised! That’s a big tick for Hallmark in my book. - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 627Mar 05, 2018 9:41 pm Agree it shows your SS has your best interests at heart so to speak and you can rely on him to produce a quality home. Wow 37 weeks, your getting so close now. I’m thinking of you and hope it all goes well when your time comes. Yes the last weeks are awful, itchy, hot and grumpy, not to mention the annoying necessity of having to know where every toilet is at every place you visit. Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 628Mar 06, 2018 3:55 pm We have internal walls!!! It’s starting to feel like a real house inside now, and so happy with the higher ceilings. Is it normal to have such big gaps between the walls and ceiling though? I know it gets covered by cornice, but are these gaps filled before it goes on? I’m also worried that some of our grey bricks look orange - could this just be because they are wet? It is pouring today! Some pics for the interested! Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 631Mar 06, 2018 7:51 pm Oh Bridget just caught up you poor thing esp at this stage of pregnancy So glad yr bricks are getting fixed sounds like your SS is on it though. By the way yr door is & just remember at the end of this all you will have a beautiful new home Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 632Mar 07, 2018 9:37 pm I'm so happy your bricks are getting redone! As other said, what a huge relief. SS is a smart man, I wouldn't want to fight a heavily pregnant woman over it haha! Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 633Mar 07, 2018 10:58 pm Well said Allblaqk me either . Gyprock looks awesome it’s really starting to come together now, keep those photos coming as long as you can, I love seeing your progress as I know how long you have waited and how much it means to you Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 634Mar 08, 2018 3:20 pm Went past your build today! Looking good, I saw them restarting on the bricks they messed up. The estate is booming with activity!! Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 635Mar 08, 2018 7:13 pm Caydenn Went past your build today! Looking good, I saw them restarting on the bricks they messed up. The estate is booming with activity!! It’s a hive of activity in our estate for sure! There’s still some ******* brickwork they need to remove before they can re-brick the front - I don’t think they are too impressed as they have know all week and not done much! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 636Mar 09, 2018 9:54 pm Stacker doors ready to be installed and almost all brickwork completed. Our brickwork is shocking - brick bond is scattered, horizontal joins not straight. Nothing is consistent, and mortar joins range in thickness from 7mm to 20mm - even on our front feature brick which was half re-done. The brickwork above our front door is an abomination - I’ll post a pic so you all can see. Then they send an invoice! It’s quite heartbreaking really.... Just as well - still goes to show the amount of care the brickies took though doesn’t it! 🤨 - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 638Mar 10, 2018 6:27 am Bridgetwitch Just went back over our plans, and luckily the bricks above our front door get rendered. If they are that bad at bricking make sure you check inside behind bricks to make sure they have washed out the slag from mortar (we never knew about this but luckily was picked up by private inspector) if not cleaned away during rain the water absorbed through bricks won’t drain away as well. Just mentioning as they look like lazy brickies who don’t seem to care Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 640Mar 10, 2018 12:11 pm BrownDog77 Oh gosh Bridget that is devastating thank goodness it’s getting rendered. Just mentioning as they look like lazy brickies who don’t seem to care That’s a good tip BD, but there is no way to check as all the gyprock has already gone in. I sent my SS a barrage of pics and told him how unhappy I am, but have heard nothing back yet. Not going to pay their invoice until they fix our feature wall at the very least. - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 9896 |
