The arrival of our little man was super fast. 4.5hrs total labour a day before my planned induction. We got to the hospital an hour before he was born and had an amazing water birth. We were home six hours later! My boys are smitten and I am tired, but all good otherwise! Just wish Hallmark would lift their game... I’m hormonal and volatile so they better watch out! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 704Mar 26, 2018 2:43 pm Go you that’s fantastic news about the labour and birth. It’s so nice to be able to get in and have the babe and go home quickly to settle in and get on with life. I did that with all of mine too and found it less disruptive. Yeap the tired part sucks, rest when you can, the house won’t blow up if it isn’t perfect everyday. Bahahhahahhaha yes your a bit of a loaded weapon now with all the hormones and sleep deprivation, bring up the bricks and if they aren’t forth coming with a suitable fix suggest nawkaw. They can’t leave it like that. Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 705Mar 29, 2018 2:55 pm Hi guys! Well, excuses excuses from the builder. Apparently the bricks are fine and within tolerances?! Our pink bricks are because of the brick we chose - and fine. The step to our stacker doors is because we had them recessed - and fine. The downpipes are because of our H1 soil - and fine. SS has his back hairs up because I told him it was a poor quality build - he didn’t agree and told me to address my concerns via email to the Building Supervisor. Hopefully they do a better job inside than outside. I’m really just over it all and want my house! Have contacted a private inspector to get a quote, and also contacted austral bricks regarding the “pink”. We got a letter today saying PCI is booked in for 24th April.... that will be 14 weeks from when we started construction! I was hoping for a speedy build - but would have happily added a few weeks to get some quality of work. Oh well, it is what it is I guess... - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 706Mar 29, 2018 4:13 pm We have H1 soil and our downpipes look nothing like that!!! Hopefully an independent inspector will help. Yes I hope so. The builder reckons that because of the H1 soil it is a council requirement to have downpipes like ours - and it cannot be changed. Funny how no one around us has the same! 🤨 - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 708Mar 29, 2018 7:41 pm 😂😂😂 the guy sounds like a clown! I’ll send you a photo of mine and you can ask him why they don’t look like that 😂 Fingers crossed an independent inspector can get it rectified. :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 709Mar 29, 2018 7:58 pm kailie86 the guy sounds like a clown! I have sent an email to our builder to notify them we will have a private inspector - I hope they sh*t themselves!!! We aren’t going to take their bullsh*t ****** down. I will also try to get onto someone at council to verify if this is correct. I’m not playing nice anymore! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 710Mar 29, 2018 8:01 pm I’ll PM a photo to you in the morning. Go have a look at my old house around the street from you, we had colourbond down pipes and no giant collars, our soil was a H1 too. Our soil out here came back a E!!! We do not have collars like that at all. Can you go and have a look at there display houses? Shouldn’t they be the same? Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 712Mar 29, 2018 9:19 pm Gosh Bridget so sorry your having all this crap Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 713Mar 29, 2018 9:27 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our downpipes with H1 soil. We also have our appliances in the garage waiting to be put in. We will visit in the next few days and peer through windows! Just a question for anyone who had a private inspector for PCI - did they go through BEFORE your PCI meeting, or AT your actual meeting? We got two quotes - AllInspect for $400, or Queensland Building Inspections for $350. Who do I choose?!?! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 715Mar 31, 2018 7:50 pm Bridgetwitch So my mum went for a sticky beak at the house, and apparently our kitchen benchtops have been installed and the kitchen sink. They were booked to do their inspection at the same time as us, but because our land hasn’t had its final scrap done, they couldn’t do their inspection. We did our inspection anyways, hoping all the issues are fixed by the time they inspect, and they don’t find anything 🤞 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 716Mar 31, 2018 9:29 pm Definitely use Kspec. Phil is fantastic and they are locals. Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 717Apr 01, 2018 7:15 am We have been told by our inspectors that they prefer to come in after we have done PCI to check everything that was picked up has been rectified - I’m going to ask them to come with us on PCI day though as We don’t know what to really look out for (even though we have a list) I’m sure he will pick up on a lot more stuff that we wouldn’t think of - although hoping we don’t have too many issues by then, keeping everything crossed! Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 718Apr 02, 2018 9:02 pm Hey Bridget, I did a drive by today and your home is coming along beautifully. The chiffon bricks at the front look great and the render is lovely. Love your front door and the handle is pretty snazzy too . You picked a great block that gets the late afternoon sun too, I couldn’t believe the ones further up the hill had zero sun. It’s amazing how much progress has happened in your estate and Huntington too. I went to visit first time builder while I was on my way home and I couldn’t believe the amount of new houses in there . Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 719Apr 02, 2018 9:05 pm Your house has come so far along compared to ours, looking amazing Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 720Apr 02, 2018 9:38 pm Tribe7 Hey Bridget, I did a drive by today and your home is coming along beautifully. Thanks Tribe! I went for a sticky beak today... there are some things I’m not happy with and some things I really love. I’m especially happy with having our eaves painted Basalt instead of white... our alfresco looks quite lush with its Basalt ceiling! I’m thinking we might put wood paneling over the infills above the stacker doors to tie in with deck - when we get to putting it in. At least it’s concreted, so will do for a while. I’m also in love with our front door, and from what I could see the interior paint looks pretty good too! I just can’t believe we will be moving in a month - I best get packing like a demon! I’m also debating about when I should notify the real estate about breaking our lease. Hopefully because we have been here for three years and been good tenants, they will make the process as pain free as possible. I’m looking forward to not paying rent anymore! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 9487 |
