I can see why you're not happy, I wouldn't be either. Our wiring is like that. We took photos of all our walls so that we had some idea what was where when drilling into the wall. We had great fun trying to hang a peg board in the garage, they were bloody everywhere in that wall! https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 609Mar 03, 2018 8:07 pm kailie86 Bridgetwitch, just catching up on your thread after searching through for anyone building on the northern end of the coast. You’ve certainly had a rough start!!! Hopefully your brink issue is sorted and your SS is on to it. Your selections look great and I look forward to watching it all come together. Our block is not far from you in Stone Creek Hi Kailie! Thanks for your kind words. This building business is really stressful... I wish we had never started to be honest. No going back now though - just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best! Good luck on your journey - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 610Mar 03, 2018 8:10 pm You’ll get there in the end and it will be all worth while! We felt that way at times during our first build, now 4 years later we wonder what all the fuss was about. At times, we’ve actually thought trying to sell our current place has been more stressful 😂 :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 611Mar 03, 2018 8:12 pm bank Look up the tolerances for brickwork and get out the ruler so you have ammo when you speak to your SS. We had another look at the brickwork today, and it is truly appalling. Everything is out of plumb, mortar joints vary in size everywhere, and bricks are filthy and wonky. I have a feeling things are going to get ugly, but I’m trying to be brave! ☹️ - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 612Mar 03, 2018 8:29 pm Look at this for *******! 🤬 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The string line above should be on the left of the mortar join (where hubby is pointing) as that’s where it sits further up the wall. Looks pretty ** in places Best thing you can do is get a private inspector to check it out and verify whether or not it meets standards. If not, you are within your rights to get them to redo/ fix it. And believe me it can be done. This is exactly what my parents have just gone through with their build. The brickwork was so bad the builder decided it was best just to pull it all down and get it redone. Of course this is a pretty extreme case and hopefully won't be the same for you, but just goes to show nothing is impossible. Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 619Mar 05, 2018 5:51 pm Our SS went and checked out the hideous brick work at our house this morning - and as a result he has told the brickies to take it down and do it properly! I’m so relieved!! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast 620Mar 05, 2018 6:00 pm awesome!
