House looks lovely hope it all keeps moving along quickly for you. That pendant you chose is gorgeous! Is that from Beacon? I think I saw that one, or maybe something similar Re: Fairmont Homes Custom Build Myponga, SA 76Oct 15, 2017 8:37 pm bubbles_family Oh, and we changed our mind at the builders interview and went with windspray gutters and roofing instead of shale grey. This was one of a few last minute changes and I've been stressing about them ever since! Very relieved to see the windspray gutters with the surfmist faschia, I love the colours Love it! I'm a big fan of gutters & faschia in contrast colors...gives a different zing to the house Swirling twirling in the home building pot Re: Fairmont Homes Custom Build Myponga, SA 77Oct 15, 2017 8:48 pm It feels like I haven't posted an update for ages! I've been home with the flu so today was my first day on site for a week. The plasterers smashed out the gyprock in one day and it has since all been flushed. It looks fantastic (all the photos are on the hubby's phone). Fairmont have already been out and fixed up the misplaced powerpoints and we forgot that we are having a cadet rail in the shower which is why the plumbing is off centre All of which was communicated very quickly. The skirting and arcs have been delivered and kitchen is booked in for next week! We went out last week (before the flu) and tidied up the site a little (the kids are collecting nails for pocket money!), did some weeding and moved a bit of soil. The kids spent all day riding their bikes with different friends that live near by and then we finished up the day with our first bbq at home out the back... in the mud! It was awesome! I can't wait to move down there!!! Re: Fairmont Homes Custom Build Myponga, SA 78Oct 15, 2017 10:03 pm Sounds like some good progress, looking forward to seeing your cabinetry.. When that goes in it really starts to look more like a home. Whats a cadet rail? aw that sounds like you had a lovely day! 😊 I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 26289 6 43100 Thanks NativeZen! I can't wait to start landscaping, though it's going to be a while away yet. No movement on site yet as of the weekend. Hoping to see some earthworks… 3 2160 |
