We wish we upgraded our toilet, it's so small 😂 My partner sat on it. It's the first thing besides skirting boards I've seen him passionate about How's it going Jmart? Any news? Re: Our First Home - Local Builder 186Jul 03, 2017 6:59 pm Love all your choices shellu. You should be able to cook up a storm in that lovely big oven and a smart choice with the back to wall loo! You won't have to worry about trying to clean behind it. Re: Our First Home - Local Builder 191Jul 03, 2017 8:58 pm That's a really nice update, shellu!! The build will come thick and fast before you know it! Hope the contract stuff goes well! It's where all your ideas and plans come together. Can't wait till the 11th. Great choices so far, agree completely with Henry about the back to wall loo and no cleaning behind . I'll have to ask Mr T if he is interested in toilets and skirting boards . Re: Our First Home - Local Builder 193Jul 04, 2017 7:10 am I seen a lot of action happening down that end of town and wondered if one was yours. Exciting on choices time and looks great what you have picked. I got excited about having the contracts so I probably won't sleep again when I get to your stage 😂😂 Re: Our First Home - Local Builder 194Jul 04, 2017 7:32 pm Just out of curiosity going through our contract and our builder does not pay costs to the owner if they go over the contract days, should I query this? Does it vary from builder to builder? Thanks Abuild it's been crazy busy in the estate. For such a small area there's a lot happening. Apparently Tribe there are ugly skirting boards and nice skirts. My partner was all set to let me go to selections myself as we are set on colours, till he realised I would be choosing the skirts and archs! Long list of defects and a lot of back and forth regarding some issues but we're in Re: Our First Home - Local Builder 197Jul 05, 2017 2:35 pm Just catching up, lovely choices hun!! Can't wait to see the rest Our First Home - Local Builder 198Jul 11, 2017 9:28 pm Selections! We had our first selections appointment today. I was underwhelmed with the attitude consultant, she really tried to rush us through as she had double booked herself and was trying to catch up. Luckily I am so organised and had preselected most things. Otherwise it would have stressed me out. So above is our new one, Harmony Bassini. I think harmony is a great name for a toilet! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is our basin, semi inset. Bathroom tapware will be super simple but may be upgraded in a few years if it bugs me. But it probably won't! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hagar silhouette switches and ppts, I think these are cool! The bath is an issue and she didn't give me time to discuss it so would appreciate some help. This is the standard bath. I feel it's too small? But then I'm not sure what the measurements of a standard bath are. This one is 1665 X 735 X 447. We have a teeny bit of space to upgrade but not much. What do you think? I think the way the bath angles in makes it small. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also I should add, the only upgrades we have made in the above list is the powerpoints and switches. Everything else is a standard inclusion. Our First Home - Local Builder 200Jul 12, 2017 1:48 pm Thanks Charli. I'm excited about the big front door too. Thanks for the photo of your bath. The one I am looking at swapping to has similar dimensions it just doesn't have the cut in "arm rests" that the original has. I think the arm rests take up lots of space and are unnecessary. We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds.
