The electrical people is pretty horrible, they take ages and has delayed quite a few sites linings (plaster board) by not doing things when they are supposed too. Also with our friends they have been getting they lay out wrong (she wanred 4 pendants over bar gave her 3, and height of plugs/switches etc) but think it might be due to all the robberies and rework that they are behind) Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 469Nov 21, 2017 5:29 pm If its the same guys we have then maybe monday? Cause we have kitchen bit, boundary garage and around window/door frames left So maybe soil delivery monday, and brickies stacking bricks where needed and actually bricks start tuesday?(not sure! Just guessing with whats left at our house) Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 473Nov 21, 2017 6:21 pm i wanted something that would reflect a lot of the summer heat and not show bird poo on the roof yes dust will show up but nearly half of it will be covered with Solar panels anyway (the garage and rear side thats showing in the above picture) Re: Hickinbotham Torquay Mod 474Nov 23, 2017 10:36 pm I have some bricks maybe 15 feet 3 rows high Also had brackets for electrical points put in at floor height where it should be 1600mm AFL - Marked the correct height with a blue crayon on site Noticed a slightly bowed ceiling joint hoist today as well Sent the required email to advise of these issues. I also marked in garage which side of stud i want them to put my nbn and data points so that i can get that work modified after handover seeing as the electrical supplier never returned my calls My skip today had about 6 or 8 chairs in it I Have Bricks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Incorrect height of electrical brackets Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ bowed ceiling joist Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Love my roof Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Hickinbotham Torquay Mod 477Nov 26, 2017 7:00 pm The more i see occur the happier i am with my choices nearly 6 months ago - hard to believe its that long since i had my selections appointment (1st June). Put some extra pieces of wood against the studs above noggins where i intend to put wall mount tv's - just have to go back and nail them in. brought one piece home to do a cutout in to accomodate an electrical cable that has been placed along the noggin. I was supposed to have a single and 2 double power points at the rear of my garage and looks like they i have an extra single power point. they got moved further to the back with my floorplan modification so i think an extra one got drawn on the plan. I really do think i have too many power points but in 5 years time i will probably have found a use for all of them at least once. Also made a not of where in roof space they have left the TV Antenna cables. Inside is progressing as well. Hi, I'll be starting on my verandah repair soon - replace ledger, rafters, roofing iron, flashing etc. (fascia board already done).
