Have been concerned for over 6 months about the size of my kitchen but seeing it today i think its just the right size for me Confirmed yesterday my laundry size so it will fit my washing machine and upright freezer in with about 15 cm to spare.between tub and wall I noticed the external power points have been connected. one full brick height between them. But cant really tell the difference unless really looking for it. So unsure if its worth worrying about further - the cables were at 2 bricks difference after bricking completed so they have at least made them closer, and rather a slight height different than patched brickwork. I would be totally iritated by the difference 😂 Just me lol! Hope they continue doing lots of work! Maybe you get our tiler? He is really good love his work and he is friendly:) Re: Hickinbotham Torquay Mod 584Jan 24, 2018 8:09 pm timing might be right re tiler will see next week. i know the external power points will be a niggling thing for me but they put then as close to the same height as they could after the mistake with their height was made and would rather not patched bricks etc but will just draw their attention to the fact that im not 100% happy but better 1 brick than 2. only have power on both sides as could'nt decide looking forward to going on site on friday arvo to see what gets done tomorrow. Re: Hickinbotham Torquay Mod 588Jan 27, 2018 5:02 pm was able to access house again this weekend and noticed an issue ill have to bring up this week the plans all state - electrician to note no points to be within 10cm of spashback edge. Never realized the issue till seeing my overhead cupboards installed but my kitchen tiles will be ending with a 2cm overlap of the 3rd power point which places both points within the 10cm restriction. I assume its stated that way to allow tiles plenty of room to be anchored to wall at edges so will be interested to see how they resolve it. tiling ending midway through a power point will i think look odd - Plans show all points located within the splashback area - Left of below picture. Planned microwave location is just to the right of the phone port They also missed my light in the pantry despite their being a switch for it - its the cutout on the right edge of the below picture - possible due to way pantry designed/built its not possible to install one -also may not even be required with good kitchen lighting But i quite like the way my Pantry turned out. It does have a smaller than expected doorway but is functional and easy to access everything Kitchen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Pantry Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Hickinbotham Torquay Mod 590Jan 27, 2018 6:07 pm all joinery is in egger premium white gloss and benchtop will be essastone chalkstone - will be putting a 3 or 4 point spotlight style light in kitchen so it has plenty of light to bring up the white gloss when i want to https://www.beaconlighting.com.au/halo- ... ome-2.html Have read of whites looking yellow in certain lights The pantry door fine i just don't want to put on to much weight bonus is if i put on to much weight i will stop eating as wont be able to get into pantry never noticed door sizes in kitchen by joiner designs either will just need a small step to reach the top shelf Re: Hickinbotham Torquay Mod 597Jan 31, 2018 1:19 pm Oh we have australia didnt have a lot damaged. Brickies used chiped bricks where they rendered. We have enough to brick in the 3 poles but that will take a lot of “space” away and we want alfresco to flow onto bbq area.
