Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Hickinbotham Torquay Mod - Post Handover 752Dec 11, 2018 4:51 pm veranda approved by council today and delivery date is 7th JAN I wanted surfmist top and bottom but turns out my option was surfmist and plain grey or surfmist and woodland grey. so ended up with surfmist on the top and woodland grey underside - wanted to keep the roof same as the house roof plus i do feel that the surfmist roofing is better for keeping cool. All posts and beams will be surfmist so should contrast well with the woodland grey underside. and 2 opal skylights to probably be positioned above my 2 rear glass doors Photos in 4 weeks once its installed. Will be adding blinds in the 2 rear sections to at least come down 2-3 feet to block out the afternoon sun fully in summer as the late afternoon sun does heat up under the veranda a little bit, but the rear of the house is staying a bit cooler now that it doesn't get much direct sunlight like it used to.
