Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 26, 2017 5:39 pm Hi, First post but have been a silent reader for a long while. We are in the process of building a new house and the timber frame was put up in Feb in Sydney. Then March happened and the timber has been constantly wet. I inspected the house today and there is green moss/mould everywhere. No surprise as the rain has been relentless. I have read a few questions on this topic but the advice that I am after is - what should I expect the from the builder? - Do we let the roof go up this week and hope it dries out by itself? - Ask them to sand all the floors and clean the mould under the floor? - Ask them to replace the flooring? Not sure how feasible this would be considering the frame is on top of the floor. Evidence below. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
