Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 241Jun 17, 2017 8:42 am Thanks Tribe, you are an endless source of valuable information. It's almost like the tradies had a game of 'cover every tile in mud and grouting hasn't been finished off yet so will cover everything. Oh dear and I'm sure your creativity will work wonders. I love plantation shutters but would never get a quote as it would make my wallet cry. Good price on the pool and E class - yikes, that would make your slab price jump Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 242Jun 17, 2017 8:43 am bribiebell Oh walnut now that makes sense with you colour choices lol. Hard to tell in the pic. Yes the pictures never come out the same hey Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 243Jun 17, 2017 8:50 am spaceboi loving the colours. BTW is the tiling behind the toilet standard up to that height in coral elegance? curious to know cost for such if not please. (to help work out rough $/m2 layed for own planned bathroom extension changes. thx Thanks, will look even better minus the mud. Wanted to tile full height in the toilets but the cornice was already up. It would have taken more time plus extra costs to do it, so ended up tiling behind the toilet so that wouldn't have to be ripped out I we do it down the track. Just bought the tiles myself and got tilers to lay them - shouldn't cost that much. They charged around $700-$800 mark to tile full height in the bathroom and ensuite which I didn't think was too bad. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 244Jun 17, 2017 9:05 am Corallake Wow...just catching up...no wonder bugger all has happened at our place! LOL. It's looking fab (mud will clean off). Mmmm that kitchen bench... What colour is the cabinetry? I think it looks similar to what I picked (can't remember what I chose back in Feb 2016) It is good to see decent work done... Haha - sorry about that and thanks we are so happy seeing the colours together. The main cabinets are Espresso Ligna and overheads stipple seal. All trades have been excellent and ss is on everything, even called me yesterday as we had overheads made lower and the rangehood was put inline with the bottom of the cabinets making it too low. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 246Jun 17, 2017 5:44 pm em-n-craig HENRY WOW em-n- craig love your painting. What colour did you choose for your walls? Can't wait to see your kitchen uncovered and complete It's Beige Royal and hopefully that will happen in the next couple of weeks WOW Craig, your kitchen looks amazing. You should feel like royalty when you have a shower with those shower heads. Your Beige Royal reminds me of our last house which was painted in Pearl Beige. It won't be long now Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 247Jun 17, 2017 9:23 pm I spend far to much time looking into products and the ins and outs I think. Another really good way to buy pendants is on insta pop up shops, I get lots from places like those, some times not the cheapest option but different to what you see in the shops, speaking of shops I did a little retail therapy today . Bugger about the crappy game with the mud, as long as they scrub that off and grout it up perfectly your winning. Budget is far healthier now, pushed back on a few suppliers and made a few changes and we aren't far of the target now . Our shutters in our last house weren't that expensive I didn't think just under $8k, the quote I got for the new house was just over $15k my wallet was screaming and hyperventilating at that price. Agree the pool is a great price, god the site costs are hideous. We are having a traditional slab because of the movement with the E, we are putting the back of the house on stilts to help with the slope and amount of concrete we need. What have you guys decided to do for window furnishings? It's a great time to buy with the sales on now. Agree with Henry 100% too your kitchen is looking fantastic, Emma picked beautifully Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 248Jun 17, 2017 11:06 pm spaceboi em-n-craig spaceboi loving the colours. Gotta love the cashies lol That's not bad, might be worth getting a price to compare as it would have been around $2000 to do both of ours. Really pleased with how the tiles behind the toilet worked out, yep there is always something else to put the money towards lol Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 249Jun 17, 2017 11:18 pm HENRY em-n-craig HENRY WOW em-n- craig love your painting. We popped up there today and it was a lot cleaner inside thank god. Glad to hear things are getting on track with your new place. Eeeek, my wallet would need CPR at that price, hope to see a new thread soon. Got venetian blinds for most windows, some voiles and curtains for sliding doors, have got most of them already, just need 2 more pairs of curtains I think. Also did some retail therapy today and got some bargains, still lots to buy tho - but then there always is hey. Looking forward to seeing your slab go down, might take a week to pour I got that idea from a show home, ended up buying a couple of boxes from the same batch and tilers laid them for us. Got a couple of extra boxes for if we decide to o full height Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 258Jun 18, 2017 9:46 am bribiebell Oh wow that aircon unit.... we have ducted also and in my mind it was a neat little split system box Nothing a timber screen cant fix Yeah it's a monster, can't believe they originally wanted to put it outside a bedroom.
