They must be quiet as they seem to put them all by bedrooms otherwise they would get loads of complaints - didn't mean to worry you lol Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 263Jun 18, 2017 6:53 pm em-n-craig bribiebell em-n-craig I'm pretty sure they are quiet these days, I will let you know the first time we use ours. There was a list of the kw size of units on the website, but can't find it now Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 265Jun 18, 2017 9:10 pm Hubby tells me the unit is near the meter box. The slab I thought it went on will be the hot water system. Do you have gas cooker?? If so are do you have to do your own slab for that? Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 266Jun 18, 2017 9:51 pm Our hot water is by our bedroom and aircon the other side of the house on the garage wall. They initially put them both outside the back bedroom, don't think our daughter would have forgiven us if we left them there. No we are electric all through, no gas so that would probably have to be done by you. Been getting quotes on driveways this weekend, are Coral doing yours or you doing it after handover? We are doing our own driveway. Can you keep me posted on your quotes. I think hubby is doing it himself. We set the house back slightly so we can have a drivethru front yard as both hubby and 19yr old are tradies and have trailers . Think hes talking about hiring a bobcat and getting truck loads of crusher dust in. It just cost us $500 to hire a bobcat and 1 truck of crusher on friday to help with the bog so I dont know its going to be a cheap excersice!! Hubby has his own ideas and loves the landscape and outdoor zone and we both have strong ideas of what we want so i leave him to it and only offer the occasional advice when i think its worth the battle lol Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 268Jun 20, 2017 5:19 am Have you turned your air con on yet? So you know what model it is? I've just been told yesterday that the high pitched scream it makes is normal In sincerely hoping someone can tell me otherwise because it's so loud we basically can't use it before 9am or after 7 as it's right up against our neighbours kids room and we can even hear it from the back of the house! B R O N T E. 43 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=79581 I have to agree Mrs JM, ours was a Fujitsu ducted and the system outside was the same size as Craig's and it was quite loud, it sounded like a jet when it was starting up with the whirring. It was outside our laundry, but I couldn't hear it from the other side of the house (more than likely because it's so loud in our house with kids) if it was quite inside I could hear it from the kitchen. Hopefully your neighbours kid will be ok with it on Mrs JM because it's a white noise?? Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 271Jun 20, 2017 4:15 pm That is one big unit for air conditioning craig. You've gotta love having ducted air whilst living here in QLD. Personally I could not survive summer without it. I am having one cup of coffee ☕️ ATM in the morning as I start melting if I have one during the day Craig what is happening with your build? Have you booked the furniture truck in for your move yet? Went up there today and there was a guys business card left on the front door, will get him round to quote too. Going on the quotes we are getting a bobcat and crusher dust will be very cheap, being quoted $75-$110 per sqm in concrete. We come up with plenty of ideas, just getting them done is the tricky part, need to get a bobcat in to dig up some dirt and spread it around as the cut was more than we anticipated, will make for some nice stepped garden beds tho. Will check what model it is and let you know. Normally the Daikin systems are quiet so I'm thinking there is a fault with yours. We had another system in our last place and the outdoor unit was noisy due to the compressor kicking in and out and we felt bad running it at night but some days you need it on then. Hoping that's not how I introduce myself Ours is well away from bedrooms but noise does carry at night, so fingers crossed I don't get a lynch mod in the street when we move in - bad enough having one on here Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 275Jun 21, 2017 12:25 am HENRY That is one big unit for air conditioning craig. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 279Jun 21, 2017 10:07 am we have a 16kw single phase daikin in current house and the only time we hear it is when in the main bathroom or walking down side of house to the clothes line. can't say I've heard the turbines kick in on this one (our previous whopping huge daikin which was the size of 2 20kw units - 2 fans on top - and was prone to that loud squeak upon compression start-up - but that was an A/C built in early 2000's, and they have definitely made improvements since).. suffice to say that backing it onto garage is a super-smart move. Wow that hallway looks massive They sure have, no idea on the kitchen, as it's been a while - hopefully will be this week. Our bedroom is at the end of the hallway so the longer the better haha Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
