Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 361Jul 15, 2017 5:04 pm Oh wow it all looks amazing! So clean and new! For some reason I stopped getting notifications for your updates Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 362Jul 15, 2017 5:45 pm Thanks Tamara, we are really pleased with it. I've had that on a few threads also for some reason. You guys must be stoked with your progress. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 363Jul 15, 2017 6:05 pm em-n-craig Hoping it all gets done before we move in, they can always do the entry after we move in - that's if they will do anything about it. Will see how things go early next week. Hope you guys get some progress next week Thanks Craig I hope so. Hubby and I agreed today we are just going to take a massive step back. Not going to go to block during the week only to move things into the shed on weekends. Hubby sweets on the money with rent and new loan but it is what it is and we are lucky we have a reserve so No point letting that stress him out. If we get a couple weeks out side contract date and its still not going great then we will esculate it. In the mean time we are not going to live for every word of progress the ss gives us as this is when we get the most disheartened. The last 4 emails has said tiles to be completed lol. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 364Jul 17, 2017 6:06 pm em-n-craig Thanks all, walkthrough went really well. Blue dots everywhere as usual, SS was picking up marks and nicks we kept missing. Looks like kitchen bench will be replaced as it has loads of marks on it and he is seeing what can be done for the entry brick work - hoping they come through with that as after spending so much on the portico it makes the entry look ugly. Your home is looking fantastic Craig. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome with the portico and hopefully it all is rectified asap.🤞 Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 365Jul 17, 2017 6:32 pm Craig im so excited to think handover could be friday and you could be camping in the new pad this weekend yikes!!! https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 366Jul 17, 2017 6:48 pm bribiebell em-n-craig Hoping it all gets done before we move in, they can always do the entry after we move in - that's if they will do anything about it. We stopped going frequently a while back as it's disheartening when nothing appears to happen and it sucks not being able to get in lol. When is your contract completion date? I've had that on a few threads also for some reason. You guys must be stoked with your progress. We are very happy with our progress. Plasterboard started yesterday and was finished today. It didn't seem long ago that yours was at that stage. I am expecting it to slow down though. Not sure it will happen as probably being a bit ambitious that the kitchen island bench will get replaced that quickly, so getting it in our heads that it's going to be next week. Also, for final payment authority we have to check a box stating we are satisfied with the build and that won't be the case until all the items are fixed. We probably could get the keys and the work will be done but don't want to take that risk. Good to know there's supposed to be "must be happy with house" clause before you give them the last pay cheque! Fingers crossed its sorted out soon! Probably be the end of next week now just waiting on kitchen bench replacement Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
