Hopefully it doesn't hold up your PCI and handover date. Great to see the SS picked up on the basins and taps not lining up Not sure how far we will get, not getting much feedback about it Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 323Jul 06, 2017 10:02 pm Tribe7 Hey Craig, If your brick work looks average with chips and uneven cuts etc you can always suggest to Coral they can render over the area (make a rendered feature at the front portico) the is no concern with different batch colours or mortar colours to contend with and it's a simple fix too I am considering that but not sure how it will look with just the entry rendered, will see what they come up with Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 324Jul 06, 2017 10:03 pm bribiebell Been away with work this week, spoke to SS this morning as we are supposed to have walk through tomorrow. Haven't heard back yet if it's going ahead - hope so Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 325Jul 06, 2017 10:15 pm Just caught up on your thread... looks like the pace is slowed a bit, just with finishing touches... Good luck on walk through tomorrow. Hope it happens... and goes well. Hopefully you sorted it during your walk through today. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 329Jul 08, 2017 12:20 am No PCI today, bit of a mix up with it. When we were with SS last week he said possibly this week then I was on the phone for work and Emma said if not ready then next week. I had 2 email invites and assumed that they were the same. Opened 1 that said today, called SS this morning to see if we were still on and was told next week which was the other email - why he sent 2 is beyond me. Went up and had a quick look, the house is pretty much there just need laundry and garage back door painting, security screen fitting to garage door and front door to be stained. Baths must be fitted as could not see them on the garage. Still have one drawer missing in the kitchen tho so they won't be getting the fixing payment until that's done. There is a brick display centre on the way to the house - strangely enough all the bricks are perfect - who would have thought - and there is a huge difference in mortar colour Display centre Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our bricks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also not real impressed with the portico flashing finish, this is ours Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is the Cooloola portico on the Daydream display in North Harbour Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 332Jul 08, 2017 1:05 am HENRY I have to agree with Tribe about rendering your front entrance. I think so just have to see if Coral will agree to it - not really confident of that at the moment Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 333Jul 08, 2017 1:08 am ruraldoc Just caught up on your thread... looks like the pace is slowed a bit, just with finishing touches... Thanks rural, walkthrough didn't happen and yes it has slowed down, but that seems to be the way it is towards the end of every build Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 335Jul 09, 2017 9:46 pm Oh man, so agonisingly close! Nearly there - just a few more days to go and we are hoping along with you haha Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 338Jul 12, 2017 10:33 am Did a drive by earlier today and walk through will be interesting tomorrow as it doesn't look like much has happened over the last 2 weeks. Still missing a drawer in the kitchen, taps not fitted in en-suite, laundry and garage door not painted, front door not stained, no security screen on the garage door and doesn't look like the second clean has happened. Getting a bit frustrating now!! What a shame hope he doesnt put it off....just no excuses to drop the ball at this stage of the game and im frustrated now at our stage so I dont blame you for getting ticked at this point. Hes had the house just sit there for 2 week, like why wouldnt you just arrange to get it sorted already. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 340Jul 12, 2017 9:09 pm Good luck with walk through tomorrow Craig. Be strong make sure you get it all written down. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14013 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
