Tagging myself on here so I can follow! Hope you and your family have a good week of building progress! Thanks rural, your place is looking great, hope to see good progress for your build this week too Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 123May 15, 2017 12:57 am Wow great progress (the rain held us up this week) i have the same internal doors and im also doing the pax from ikea. Speek with Mitch his mate does the ikea installs and may do a cash deal for you if you dont have time like us. We have spoken to mitch and will be installing before carpets go down so if we need to replace carpets later its easy to pull up. We will also kit out our pantry and laundry but after handover. Tell Emma she did a great job with selection its going to look fab Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 124May 15, 2017 7:17 am em-n-craig Tribe7 Holy cow Craig your build is fast!! Nice we had the pax in both our WIR's and they look fantastic, the soft closing draws are excellent and the shoe cupboards worked a treat. You won't be disappointed with them Re: Coral Homes - Modified Longreach 33 in QLD 125May 16, 2017 8:01 pm bribiebell Wow great progress (the rain held us up this week) i have the same internal doors and im also doing the pax from ikea. Initially had cav sliders on the Media and Rumpus then switched to swing - not sure if that's a good decision, can always change them if they don't work. Good call regarding the Pax, will have a chat about that, even if just the frames are put in and great idea about the carpet. What are you doing in your pantry and laundry? We are staying with shelves in the pantry for now and extended the worktop in the laundry and changed the outside door to a half glass instead of sliding glass. Will do, she is good at colours. Hubby will use the shelves in the garage and he is installing thiner malimine ones and include a work bench for appliances we will have power connected in there also. In the laundry the boys will be using that as their main entry in and out from the house to the shed so im making it a mud/laundry room. Will make a bench seat and shoe boxes, storage etc after handover. There are a few ikea products Im looking into but not 100% on what i want just yet. Initially had cav sliders on the Media and Rumpus then switched to swing - not sure if that's a good decision, can always change them if they don't work. Hinged doors can be a better option in a media room, as you have the ability to seal the perimeter if you want (or bulk up over thickness, or both) - for reducing sound leakage. there's not much you can do to Cav sliders to further reduce noise. Did you know about no bricks above garage door? And if so, did you enquire about a price for such? That's one of my "wish-I-hadda" moments. our current facade is like one of coral's wider portico with timber cladding around it and our front windows and main door got bricks above as part of said facade (entire facade was only $4000) .. but the garage got cruddy 'ol sheeting.. If I'd realised at the time I would have at least asked about getting the same timber cladding installed above garage door to match. - assuming lintel and bricks too costly still.
