Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 13, 2017 8:53 am Hi All, We are building "Ambassador 36" with Wisdom homes and need advise on their Inclusions. We are currently awaiting Tender from Wisdom homes and was if the Signature inclusions are worth the cost...its about 25K more than Prestige Inclusions? Has anyone else choose Signature package with Wisdom homes? Please share your experience. Re: Wisdom Homes Signature package?? 4Mar 14, 2017 8:13 am It depends if you want all the inclusions or will change them. We went with the essentials price and just added the upgrades we wanted, as a lot of the inclusions in even the prestige range we weren't fussed about or would change anyway. Our sales consultant gave us a ******** sheet that had a list of the prestige inclusions not offered in luxury essentials, and we couldn't justify the $25k extra. We got the laminate flooring and stone benchtops with the wise choice promotion though which would have made a significant difference. Might be worth going to look at the tile selections at di Lorenzo too, we spent $7k there, although even on a higher package we shall would have spent most of that I believe. I'd post this Q on the building with wisdom homes thread for more insight though like Rocchet said, I don't think anyone on there has selected the signature range. I'm sure signature would give you a beautiful home if you didn't change a thing Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Wisdom Homes Signature package?? 5Mar 15, 2017 2:27 pm The signature range was not offered when we signed our tender early in 2016. If you like all (or most) of the upgrades included in the package, then its generally a no brainer to pay for the package. It gets more difficult if you only want certain items from the package, and will need to go through each item with your SC. We paid for the prestige package back in 2016. From memory it was $9,990 and a real easy decision for us. (I think the air cond alone cost more than that) We also added on a number of variations above this that are now offered in the signature range. After looking at the cost that we paid for the upgrades vs the cost of the signature range, its very close to being even, but the signature range offers more than what we got in the changes. For us, the Signature range would have been worth it, for others I could see the value not being there - it really comes down to personal choice and no clear cut answer. Re: Wisdom Homes Signature package?? 6May 23, 2017 9:54 pm Hi, we are looking to build with signature package and waiting for tender at the moment. Kajal, I assume you have received your tender by now, how long did it take for you? Was the cost very similar to provisional quote? Yes there was only minor difference in the pricing, around 3K Thanks, that's pretty close. I am waiting for final revised tender, and then contract. What stage in the process are you at? They forfeited all my deposit amount after bank refused to agree on their payment plan. Initially they told me it's a matter between bank and wisdom homes and they kept trying with bank for almost 4 months and then given up. Bank said that there is no issue with my loan approvals and they were ready to accept the same payment plan from other builders but not from the Wisdom homes. Wisdom homes also refused to change their payment plan and just to receive 5% extra money in stage 2 instead of stage 3, they wasted my 6 months and lots of money. Had a very bad experience with wisdom home and will never recommend this builder to anyone. Re: Wisdom Homes Signature package?? 10Nov 01, 2017 3:46 pm Sky2202 Never build with Wisdom Homes. There are definitely some banks that will not lend on wisdoms payment structure and it is a little heavier at the front of the build than most builders. Having said that, plenty of banks are happy to abide by wisdoms payment schedule. If you don't have the ability to shop around for a lender that will work with wisdoms payment schedule then I would definitely recommend people thinking to build with them check with their bank before putting down a deposit. majestic35.weebly.com 3 22652 Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. How long are variations taking with other companies at the moment?
