I am dreading carpet shopping. We've only been once so far and I have to say it was just SO boring, could not get excited about it at all. Tiles on the other hand, I could look at for days. And just getting my head around the different types of carpet... yawn! Me: does it feel soft, plushy? Yes? Then I don't care what's it's made of Anyway been focussing on lighting this week. A bit more modern than the others too. As for the dining. That's a hard one! I had trouble with dining to. I like the chrome one the best. I actually went to a lighting shop looking for one but came out with something else that caught my eye on clearance sale. Kind of similar but more industrial with a cage over the light. Those sconces for the ensuite will also look fantastic!!! Loving your choices so far! You should definitely consider a move back to building and design! Aw thanks Magavin. We have such similar tastes lol. The ones you mentioned are my faves too . With the ensuite, guess I was thinking of something more with a shade if you know what I mean, but can't seem to find them anywhere Our 37sq Custom Hamptons Inspired Home: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86931 Re: Our Custom Hamptons Inspired Home 163Apr 08, 2017 7:16 am Dani, love those pendants! Especially the dining pendant, was also considering something like this instead of two pendants. And the ones in the master. We also have one we need to get for our master, but have not been able to find anything we like. I've seen these ones in some PD displays. Thanks so much for sharing. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Pendant we were looking at above the stairs is too small, and they didn't have the larger chandelier on display so we'll have to wait and see about that one. Also took hubby today to look at some floorboards. As we are looking at oaks which are softer and prone to scratching, we are going to stick with laminate. Easier on the hip pocket and less stress maintaining them compared with engineered. Also prefer longer planks as less busy with less joins. I think that would look really good! Funny you should talk about flooring as that is what has been happening at mine this week. When they first started I had a peek. The sun was going down and was shining directly into our living area and made the vinyl planks look a lot lighter than I thought they were and quite brown and I had a moment (or a few moments all week) where I thought I hate them and I've ruined the look!! But now that they are all done and I've seen them in not so direct lighting which they will always be once the blinds etc go in I think they look great! I really wanted the greyer ones but hubby wanted a darker wood look and so we agreed on a dark oak.... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I think the brownier colour softens the greys and white so it's not too mono tone. What do you think??? I think your grey choice will look great as you are having your pop of blue to liven the place up a bit. Your choices are really complementing each other. Well done!
