Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 10, 2017 6:26 pm Hi all, I have a build thread but thought I'd post a new question so it gets better reach and hopefully some good answers. My issue is we had our PCI inspection yesterday with our site supervisor who basically said no and argued to everything we raised. We were not given stickers or the chance to go through and mark all that we thought was wrong and basically could have skipped that meeting as it served us no purpose. We aren't happy at all with how the meeting went and want some issues rectified by the builder, nothing major but definitely not brand new home quality. I've been told to email the owner of the building company and cc in the QBCC with our issues. Handover is due next Friday we don't want them to delay handover to be a pain but just want our concerns noted and these issues fixed at some point so we aren't left with them. The issues at hand are: -paint overlap, wall paint on gloss skirting -chipped tiles around niche from poor cutting -paint scratch in bedroom -builders rubble and rubbish throughout rear yard, we are not having them landscape but expected it to be left in same condition as given to them. -other issues builder says are on his list already are torn flyscreen, some paint ware from carpet layer and vinyl scratch on cupboard door. Like I said nothing major or structural but leaves a bad feeling when we weren't given a chance. Mind you the property was filthy so all the marks and scuffs on walls and benches we were told would be fixed by cleaner but couldn't list or mark these so basically we have to have faith in them that these will be fixed.... So any advice people on best way to get this fixed, without delaying handover and in qld? It is a well known building company in north Brisbane. Thankyou we are packed for moving so no idea where the contract is at the moment, I might have a scan at work so will look into that. Hopefully gives us time to go after handover as we won't have access until we move in this week. Yes, I have. But, I haven't paid yet. They know they did not do proper jobs and I sent the email re: final payment, I cannot pay. They said, we will do 2nd PCI.
