Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with fowler homes 22Mar 22, 2017 12:44 pm Also please note the little feature/mosaic tiles in the photos of the standard range are not standard they are just examples of feature tiles and will cost extra.. but im not really into those little mosiac tiles and i think they will just date the bathrooms Re: Building with fowler homes 23Mar 22, 2017 7:46 pm Thanks for posting the photos newwy!! Did you decide on the tiles? I just made my hubby see these photos you shared. We will go with one of the below ones (if we get same tiles on offer in sydney). i dont wanna spend anything extra on titles. Loved your choice for the splashback. I always wished for a clear glass window splashback. Dunno how much a glass window splashback will cost. Did you decide on facade? We are just going to go with the standard facade and then we will render it at a later date and add some type of pergola out the front, my goal is to find a nice brick friendly climbing plant to cover the front of the house with What about you guys for the facade? Re: Building with fowler homes 27Mar 25, 2017 4:14 pm Hey so im currently nursing an injury so i have lots of free time on my hands... anyways i have gone through and researched every inclusion in the emporium package just to really get a good idea of what is included and i have to say it is actually quite suprisingly good, i will actually not have to upgrade anything, it has inclusions that i saw when i was looking at other building companies, that would of cost a fortune to upgrade too, just the finer details really like the high quality tapware, sinks, polyurethane cabinets, super high square set ceilings and floor to ceiling tiling in all bathrooms and powder room and even the standard internal doors are fabulous, love it! anyways i am glad i have found somewhere that will hopefully fingers cross give me everything i want, but ofcourse we still have to get through the process lol so it might all be too good to be true, but hoping for a relatively positive experience.. Re: Building with fowler homes 28Mar 27, 2017 7:06 pm Hi Newwy hows your house plan going? Did you decide on any? I was told that theres gonna be a small price rize on 1st of April! I was checking Wisdom Homes Signature inclusions. They are somewhat similar to emporium package. I found FH's extra upgrades are a bit too pricey. Like their balcony facades are 25/30k ++, staircase upgrade, feature recessess etc any cosmetic upgrade you want. However you we dont go with upgrades just stick to inclusions and classic facade, it will be a good price i hope. How about site cost? I found their PA for salinity, drop Beams, H class slab etc are around 1k higher than some other builders. However in total with emporium inclusions, classic facade and not much upgrades FH should be the one to go!! Re: Building with fowler homes 29Apr 01, 2017 8:59 am We signed pretty early on so just missed out on the new Fowler Packages... But we got the highest upgrade package that was available to us which is equivalent to the current mid range package (Platinum). To save some money, we've decided that we'll do the tiling after handover as the wood look tiles I wanted was going to cost me a fortune if I got FH to do it. There's a great place called TFO which has an awesome variety of tiles. Bathrooms and toilets still have to be done by FH though...they can't hand the house over without bathrooms being tiled. Love your selections so far! Re: Building with fowler homes 30May 15, 2017 5:10 pm Hi All! We have finally settled our land and now comes the long wait for DA approval before we can get our slab down! Does anyone have any new pictures or updates to their Fowler Build? http://portofino38.blogspot.com/ Re: Building with fowler homes 31Aug 23, 2018 8:15 am Hi newwyhouse2233 My Partner and I had chosen to build with Fowler Homes after visiting many display homes. The reason we chose Fowler Homes is due to the display homes attention to detail and layout. I implore you to list the 20 top project home builders and go through each review site on the net ( which I whish I had done ) and have a column for each rating (eg: excellent , ok and poor ). It will become very apparent that Fowler Homes has one of , if not the worst rating for a new home builder. We to are in Newcastle. I will come back and give details once current proceedings against Fowler Homes are decided which will be at the end of September , 2018. Kind Regards Re: Building with fowler homes 32Sep 21, 2021 1:35 pm newwyhouse2233 For all of those who are building or looking to build with fowler homes to discuss our builds. There doesnt seem to be many fowler customers on here so i thought i would make a group instead of hijacking other peoples topics Heyy! Where are you building with Fowler homes! I want their Paris home on a block in the hunter valley Re: Building with fowler homes 33Sep 21, 2021 1:36 pm finjas Hi newwyhouse2233 My Partner and I had chosen to build with Fowler Homes after visiting many display homes. Did you end up building with Fowler homes and what location On their website it looks like they only build in greater Sydney Thanks Re: Building with fowler homes 35Oct 05, 2021 12:39 pm Hey, we are currently in the pre-construction stage with Fowler Homes. We have opted for the Toorak and are building in South West Sydney. We have had an extremely positive experience so far (finger crossed it stays that way!). Re: Building with fowler homes 36Oct 05, 2021 8:54 pm Mikaela3105 that’s great to hear! When do you expect to start building? Have you looked at their colour choices and tile choice stuff yet? Was it a good selection - or did you pick upgrades to standard? We are a bit worried about how much extra we need if we don’t like the basics.... Would love to hear how your progress comes along. Happy to share ours also. Re: Building with fowler homes 37Oct 09, 2021 10:47 am Fowlers have some nice design houses, they are building next to my block, however i had a call from my builder he was putting the fence on my lot and saw large pile of dumped soil on my land, Fowler dumped the soil there after the finished cutting preparing for their slab, I called their site supervisor who acknowledged the dump and said they will remove it some time next week, I was surprised of such illegal behavior from what I thought a very professional company. We’re probably looking at February start as Christmas lockdown is fast approaching and we have two more appointments to complete. We have been really impressed with the inclusions and have spent very minimal on upgrades. We had a colour scheme and picked from the included options. I do know others have spent crazy in upgrades but we’ve come in under budget so far 😊 We have our blog buildingourtoorak.weebly.com and I’ve updated that with a fair bit of detail too 😊 Re: Building with fowler homes 39Oct 09, 2021 10:59 am Karar Fowlers have some nice design houses, they are building next to my block, however i had a call from my builder he was putting the fence on my lot and saw large pile of dumped soil on my land, Fowler dumped the soil there after the finished cutting preparing for their slab, I called their site supervisor who acknowledged the dump and said they will remove it some time next week, I was surprised of such illegal behavior from what I thought a very professional company. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ In all honesty, there are a lot of builders out there who do illegal things. Unfortunately with a lot done by subcontractors, it’s bound to happen. During our neighbour’s build, we had two tipper loads of dirt dumped on our block, the same tipper cracked our footpath, and they dumped pallets on our block. It’s inevitable unfortunately but you just stick to your guns and make sure the company responsible fixes it. I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 105551 Anyone built with Fowler Homes? Feedback? Especially any things concerning or negatives? Have heard some horror… 0 9299 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74701 |
