Cool! Working on a sat, I should swing by mine and see if anyone is onsite. They were there the last 2 sats.
How much have they done on yours?

They seem to have done half of the ground floor it's a big place and it looks ok, just one thing...why are some houses wrapped before the bricklaying starts? Ours wasn't, I thought it might be something to do with render but I don't think it is...does anyone know??

Some builders include wrap as standard, others you have to ask for it. Some states have it as a requirement, other states have it as optional.

That's great to hear you love the bricks!

I actually asked for the wrap at tender. Sekisui said they don't do it

Had to google what the wrapping is for! I'm ok with not having it after reading more about it all.

Had an update from SS yesterday, some of the scaffolding has been delivered but they are missing parts and need to chase up next week. I drove down to look and could see that the scaffolding is up, looks to go all the way round not sure what is missing but I'm no expert!
I'm being good and staying out of the site, it was looking a bit water logged but I guess until the roof goes on that's to be expected. Have to say the site looks pretty tricky to navigate with builders rubble everywhere and we have a pretty big block.

Looks like two more weeks of bricking to do. At my site weeds has taken over.

They've not done much bricking this last week most of that was done in the week previous hope they return! Also I'm wondering when the front pegoda thing will be built I though it would go up at framing but there's no sign of at bricking either, the slab incorporates it and you can see where it will go, maybe it goes up at the end

Yes the weeds are pretty rampant where we are too, they were cut down the other week by Burbank so hopefully they will be keep them tamed!

Had a day off today so went by the site late this afternoon, looks like they have added a significant amount of scaffolding including a temporary staircase all the way up to the roof line. I can see they will need more bricks delivered hope these arrive soon so the bricklayers can continue.

Are you out of bricks already?

We only had enough delivered for the ground floor as they had to leave room for the scaffolding now that's up they will deliver the rest. We are down to about 1-2 unopened blocks of bricks we had about 10-15 delivered originally so will be needing quite a few more delivered for the first floor

If you have a look at my post and pic from last week (20th May) that will show you what they have done so far, the brickies haven't been back on site for about 10 days now ...oh and no update from SS either this last week so guess that means he had nothing to tell us!

Good thing is there is another load of sand delivered and also hundreds more bricks so hopefully we will see more action this week.

10 days in between! could it be the course of scaffolding, now I know what to expect.
I don't think my SS will give me any more update until all bricking are done. He did explain that bricking will take couple weeks to complete. just the two brickies working on site I'm aiming at end of June or mid July to completed bricking.

Yes I think your timing is realistic there. We started bricks on weds 10th May. I reckon we have another 2 weeks at least depends when they can get brickies back onsite, they have obviously gone off to do another job. 18 days in and so far just half the ground floor done but think scaffolding is complete now. Nearly blew a fortune on two chairs today as I was feeling a bit fed up, managed to pull myself back from the brink of the purchase to give myself time to really think it through and remind myself carpets and blinds and more important!! Still tempting though!

Didn't realize it's been that long since last brick action. Bricking for our single started Sat 29 April and finished Wed 17 May. Pretty sure they were there everyday includ sat. But you have a bigger team of them right?
