Very surprised at appliances! Ohhh nice that you have appliances delivered. Did he look what brand? Won't be long you will get garage roller door. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: Our Acacia Home 662Mar 24, 2018 6:46 pm He said he saw a boxes with the make ‘SMEG’ which we were meant to get, our upgrade package had all Smeg appliances. Garage door is meant to go on on Monday but will see if this happens as it has been scheduled several times and not been put up. Re: Our Acacia Home 663Mar 24, 2018 7:40 pm Lol I remember when our appliances were delivered..(not that long ago actually).. when I saw smeg I was relieved that they didn’t screw that up Re: Our Acacia Home 664Mar 25, 2018 9:02 am I went to have a look this morning and can see half of the appliances have been delivered also looks like the upstairs toilet sink has been replaced by a smaller one so we can shut the door as the old one was in the kitchen. The two Downpipes we have been waiting months to be connected have finally been done, they had to wait for the pergola to be built and rendered as they are needed to be recessed in it and routed around it. In the meantime the walls have been drenched through half pipes draining water down them. One part of the outside wall now has green patches with moss forming (it’s been left that long). The whole house looks a little derelict and sad today. Hopefully things continue to move along these next few weeks. Will need to get them to address the moss/algae issue as our inspector will have a field day with that one at PCI!! Have you clean around the building, I have picked up many chunky brick mortar bury under soil. Next time when you go back again check for scratches on window, I found scratches on one of the kitchen window after removing bricks mortar, not happy about it. They should clean up moss before hand over. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: Our Acacia Home 668Mar 28, 2018 9:16 pm Cool! the garage door was such a long wait... got a pic? Seem to recall you changed the garage door finish? Re: Our Acacia Home 669Mar 28, 2018 10:25 pm trimum We have a garage door at last and they have given us an Easter bonus of the kitchen extractor fan being fitted. Slowly moving to the final stage!! It's a good feeling to see garage door... feel more secure. I don't like the way they have attached our garage roller door. very untidy. They have made large holes and uneven patches required repair and paint. every time they do something there is an extra work that needs to follows up. Yes was having trouble downloading photos yesterday will try again... we changed to wide panels and a darker wood effect and I’m really pleased with it. Haven’t had a close look yet as it was 7pm when I got to the house yesterday and starting to get dark so I have had to lighten the photo a bit. The pergola was all set for being painted last week and had the temp scaffolding but due to the rain that has been taken away (too costly to be kept on site according to the SS) and the painting rescheduled for another time which is a shame. Looks really good Yes I always wanted the wide panels, when they changed supplier to ‘steel line’ we had to choose a different colour and I asked about the wide panels, they phoned the supplier and looked at their variations and said there was no difference in cost so it was an easy choice to change! We had no option with the BD garage door choices to go with wide panels Re: Our Acacia Home 674Mar 30, 2018 4:48 pm Had to go and pick up a few bits of furniture today and drove back past the house to see the garage in daylight, also managed to get inside for a look. Several jobs have been done in the last week, half the appliances are in, aircon unit is attached now. Also took the console table inside to see what it looked like in the hallway Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ A couple of things I am going to question...we paid a ridiculous amount of money for a microwave to be built in but the microwave has just been put inside the space, I can not see on the contract the cabinetry to fix this is neatly but I sure hope that is done as it wasn’t cheap and we could have bought one for a fraction of the price in JB HiFi!! Also the zoning of the aircon looks like they have just put in what looks like light switches to control the zones which they have placed below the control panel, it looks so tacky and I’m not happy with it. Has anyone else had their aircon zone switches put in like this? Wish I had taken a pic now! Re: Our Acacia Home 676Mar 30, 2018 5:11 pm blackcat20 Love your console table, can I ask where it’s from? I got it from Neek and Co, They had a few items of their ex-display furniture they were selling at amazing prices earlier this week and I snapped up their last 3 tables - this one, a coffee table in the same style and a side table with black steel legs. I’m so pleased with them. I swear the electrical contractors have been absolutely useless, the worst tradies by far although the carpenter framers and the brickies are also up there. Here we go another phone call and another fight to get what we have paid for! They have put the standard one in with a bank of light switches to control the zones but we upgraded as we specifically didn’t want this and we wanted to be able to put the aircon on a timer. Re: Our Acacia Home 678Mar 30, 2018 6:19 pm Oh my goodness, you poor thing, they've been hopeless!!! So they'll have to patch the wall where the current light switch is to replace it with the smaller daiken panel? We have a built in microwave. Its supposed to have an integration kit to "integrate" it. Does it say integrated microwave in the contract? Or check your emails to prove thats what they said you'd get. I can’t see ‘integrated microwave’ anywhere just ‘microwave’ I’m so upset about it, I know it’s pretty stupid getting upset over something so minor I didn’t know it wouldn’t be integrated. The kitchen people still need to come back and finish some things off so I’m hoping they will sort this out but I need to ask them. And yes they will have to fix a hole the bank of light switches have made. It’s never ending! Re: Our Acacia Home 680Mar 30, 2018 10:25 pm Aircon - yes they’ve done the gang plate switch thing for us. It’s pretty ugly - we didn’t even know about the upgraded model, although at $730 I’m not sure I would of done it for the 2 zones we have. I’m actually now feeling annoyed that daikin even leaves out a simple zone function just to make a quick buck. Definitely let rip on that one!
