I think they have another couple of days to complete the bricks, the first floor right side and back of the house still need quite a few bricks, the pillars need finishing and the window ledges need to be done. If we have no rain I can see this being done by end of Monday. Fingers and toes crossed!!! Can't really tell from the photo Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-frame stage finally! 266Jun 16, 2017 12:19 pm Looking very good by the way Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-frame stage finally! 267Jun 16, 2017 12:28 pm ehhc Did they do the recessed brick detail? Can't really tell from the photo Have a look at this one... yes recessed brick is in place you have to look for it though! I guess when the mortar dries and scaffolding is down it may look more noticeable! Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-frame stage finally! 275Jun 16, 2017 7:05 pm SS update: good progress all week on bricks and they should be finishing tomorrow (Saturday apparently) Someone from somewhere is coming tomorrow onsite to look at the pillars (on the side for rendering) and work out the quote for Burbank Next week the bricks will be cleaned Rendering of the side pillars will be done All sounds good so looking forward to seeing if that actually happens Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-frame stage finally! 276Jun 16, 2017 7:06 pm But really ...I want to know about the roof!!!!!! Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-frame stage finally! 277Jun 17, 2017 4:19 pm Couldn't stay away today and just came back from the site... The Bricks Are Finished! Spoke with one of the brickies that was just finishing apparently they had 5 guys on there today getting it done. Had a look round, it all looks ok but will be better when the bricks are cleaned. One thing I'm a bit confused over, the right side of the garage has a pillar which is on the plans but has been bricked as though it will be rendered. I don't mind if it is going to be rendered but that was never planned or discussed. Will send the pic to the SS on Monday and ask the question.... Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-frame stage finally! 280Jun 18, 2017 8:18 am Just starting to worry the house will look like one big battleship with all the grey bricks! Will be better when the mortar has dried, the roof is on and the pergola and rendering is complete...I hope!
