Browse Forums Building A New House Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 301May 09, 2017 11:34 pm Plan looks good. Can't wait to see it get built. My recommendation is to increase garage width. Your current width is bare minimum which will force your passenger to get into/out of the car outside the garage as you won't be able to open both doors with hitting something. I love that. Would have loved mine to be facing that way. But f we swapped it. It would have made our back yard smaller. And we would have needed a cross over. Love how massive your walk in robes are. Did you have to cut bedrooms down? viewtopic.php?t=86597 Nope we didn't. We have just merged bedroom 4 WIR with bedroom 3 and Powder room with bedroom 2 so that kids get ample of space. Also we removed the wall and door between the bathroom and toilet so it gives bigger look. That's a good idea. If you could do it do it I say. I would have really wanted the wir in my kids room to be that big. That was one of my wanted list. But it couldn't be done cos we had to add to extra Rooms. And that's why we had to have 2 two ways bathrooms. There wasn't a lot of options for us. Cos we added so much. And the back yard kept getting smaller and smaller. So we had to stop somewhere. It's so funny. Cos yours is on opposite side. I feel like it's a different design. Got to get used to looking at it on the flip side viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 303May 10, 2017 1:10 am Renman First thing I did was ask to upgrade 3m and 2.7m. Was one of the things that the wife asked for and the second things was a gas fire place and then a study. Everything else in the house I got to pick and decide We have 2500 here I think. So Phil thought 2700 is good enough. I also wanted to upgrade widows. But both again kept convincing me not too. I think my consultant didn't want us go over budget. She tried to keep it low as possible. Goes to show she just didn't want us spending too much. Even thou anything extra she also gets. But I can't fault her for it. When we went way over budget she was shocked. Like what did you do lol. I told her I said J. I just can't settle for the basic stuff. It's not in my gene. She totally understood. She said yeah I get it. Your like me you have expensive taste. I said yeah. I always end up picking top of the range of things without even seeing the price. Cos that's my taste. Although I couldn't get it all. I would be up for millions if I had the option. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 304May 10, 2017 1:16 am Also I found out that my new csc is the actual team leader. Looks like they didn't want to muck around anymore as it's a big job. Once the other csc left. They gave me the team leader. I just found this out through my consultant. I said what's the difference. She said that this one doesn't have to go to anyone higher up. Like the other one did.. she just decides things. The last csc found me to be abit complex. I think a few of them did. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 305May 10, 2017 1:41 am Nabeelc Plan looks good. Can't wait to see it get built. We couldn't widen it anymore. We also only plan on having one car in there anyway. We have so much off street parking in front of our house. I don't know what it's called. But it's like built in parking bays. Plus on other side neighbours built on the fence line. So we couldn't move the house over. The one who built on the fence line cost us $11,000 more in site cost. All because they wanted the garage on the fence line. First time we bought smaller land instead of a big one. Then we had so much hassles. We got a smaller land cos the one we have here now is over 700sq. And kids mess it like no tomorrow. So we bought a smaller one. Only to have so much hassles. Now if I knew this was going to happen. We would have gotten a bigger one. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 309May 10, 2017 6:00 am Doulton777 Nabeelc Plan looks good. Longer wouldn't have benefited us. But making it wider would have. I think most of everyone here has made theirs wider. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 313May 10, 2017 9:43 am Doulton777 Sanuaka Doulton777 Don't forget to post them when you get them. Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 316May 10, 2017 1:05 pm aniazur Gorgeous house Doulton 😊 3 sinks AND a kitchen upstairs!!! LOL Love it. Excellent idea with the multiple 2- way bathrooms Thanks aniazur. Lots of kitchens too clean lol. Wanted to put a sink in the kitchenette. But have to get council approval as it comes under dual occupancy. We put a dishwasher there instead. And will apply for council permit later. As didn't want to hold the build up. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 318May 10, 2017 1:08 pm Sanuaka Doulton777 Sanuaka [quote="Doulton777"]Don't forget to post them when you get them.
