Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 07, 2018 11:48 pm We purchased a land with its town plan permit and are going to build up a new house, area is about 180sqm. The town plan permit and plan drawings are from one architect A , who is used by the vendor. We would like to make some changes on the current design and need to amend the town plan permit. It looks the best way to amend the town plan permit and plan drawings is to ask architect A to finish the work. Architect A gives the quote of a package including design revision and working drawings. For working drawings he will charge over 10,000 AUD, which we think is a bit rip-off. Can I use another architecture drafter to finish the working drawings but still use his plan permit and plan drawings? Architect A mentioned if we want to use other people to finish the work, he has the copyright of the drawing, then we have to start from scratch to apply for the plan permit. I am confused about this. From my understanding, he got the copyright and licensed us to use it to build the house. Are plan drawing and working drawing from same copyright? Thanks in advance. Re: Use different architects for plan drawing/working drawin 3Apr 08, 2018 9:31 am JB1 Architect is full of ****. Of course you can amend it. What needs to be changed for town planning? Move walls at the back, move windows and add two small windows at the sides. And move internal stairs and move bathrooms. I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago. It wasn't the same model, but the symptoms were pretty much the same: the compressor would start and then stop… 3 7550 Okay sorry silly me, my wife has solves the mystery for me. It’s because the labels on the ports are all wrongly positioned by the builder hence it confuses me. 2 1386 yep you need a joint, foam is easiest, will look fine once rendered with a joint. 2 5243 |
